Sometimes you just have to shake your head at how irrational and/or dishonest wingnuts can be. Case in point, Joseph Farah’s column about the appalling situation in Utah where kids had their school lunches thrown in the trash. In Farah’s world, this is proof…of the dangers of Obamacare. I wish I were making that up, but he appears to be serious.
It’s unfortunate – even tragic – that more and more Americans depend so heavily on government support. Many of them truly believe the government will always be there for them – that somehow they are safer and more secure depending on government than their own resources and sense of self-sufficiency.
This case is just one example of how wrong that perception is.
America is nearing the point of no return if we haven’t reached it already.
Now the health-care system – which is a matter of life and death for all Americans – is being taken over by the state.
What if you miss a premium payment?
Under the old system, Americans were never turned away from health care. What happens when the state has a monopoly over health care?
I’ll type this slowly so Farah can understand it: The same thing happens when you miss a premium payment today as happened before Obamacare — you get your policy canceled. You know why? Because it’s a private fucking insurance policy. But guess what? The subsidies make it much less likely that someone will miss a premium payment. And if you really believe that “under the old system, American were never turned away from health care,” you’re even more delusional than I thought.
