Lou Ann Zelenik is mad as hell and she’s not going to take it anymore. The Tennessee Republican congressional candidate has been the most outspoken opponent of the building of a new mosque in Murfreesboro and when a student journalist tried to interview her about it recently she said she was “tired of having to be at the back of the bus.” They really do think they’re the ones being oppressed when they’re not allowed to oppress others. This video shows just how unhinged she and her followers are. One guy tells the journalist that Islam isn’t a religion it’s a “political ideology.” This from someone who follows a woman who has made her entire political career about enforcing theocratic rule. Irony!

After spending several years touring the country as a stand up comedian, Ed Brayton tired of explaining his jokes to small groups of dazed illiterates and turned to writing as the most common outlet for the voices in his head. He has appeared on the Rachel Maddow Show and the Thom Hartmann Show, and is almost certain that he is the only person ever to make fun of Chuck Norris on C-SPAN.
