More Fun With Operation American Spring

The Operation American Spring Facebook page was fun to read on Saturday, after the colossal failure of the whole thing. The organizers did their best to pretend that everything was fine. Friday afternoon they said that the millions would be there on Saturday. On Saturday? Their own estimate was 2000 people, which is likely inflated. Friday afternoon they posted this:

Lol. Naysayers wrong. OAS Day 1 success. Closing in on White House

By what possible definition was it a success? Your predicted numbers were off my several orders of magnitude. Not only did you not remove Obama or anyone else from office, he left the White House in the middle of it all to have lunch at Shake Shack, which I’m pretty sure was done deliberately to make fun of you. And about as many people showed up to watch him have lunch as showed up to your pathetic little rally. But the real fun was in the comments:

Curtis Nazelrod I am Honored and Proud to be involved with such a fine group of Americans as the ones I have saw here today. Folks this is what America is all about. This makes me feel like I didn’t waste 8 years in the Army defending our Rights and Principles. The Naysayers ran there mouth a lot but nothing will deter us from doing what we know is right. God is on our side and is watching over and protecting us in all we do. A group like this makes us all proud to be Americans.

Dude, do you even English?

TaLisa Martin Nemec To all those who are trying….THANK YOU. To all those who are scoffing….go back to your reality TV and main stream media. When they come to take you from your homes…you won’ t see me crying for you. Wake UP! Again, Thank You to all those who are trying.

I think she meant “to both of those who are trying.”

Tim Burkett Lord, forgive them that mock the truth. for they are ignorant of the deceiver or promote them so that they can destroy our nation. open their minds to the truth so they cannot deter our cause. bless our patriots so that they move swiftly to restore the nation. AMEN

Ramen!

Teresa Holder Brackett My niece had a flight to DC to go home. Cancelled flights!! Trying to keep people from getting there! Surprised???

Riiight. Because flights are never canceled due to bad weather, like the storms that hit DC Friday morning. Nope, it’s the gubmint keeping us down!

Vicki Hancock for all you that dont believe in taking our country back,,YOU are going to be the the ones that go to the fema camp..YOU will be the ones that end up on the guilitines first,,I believe in what they are doing..Treason and lying is wrong in our president,Hell he is lying about his name,no birth certificate for him ,his so called wife and kids..Come on now..WAKE the hell up..If you cant see whats going on then crawl back under your bed and stay there.

Oh yes, of course. Obama’s “so-called wife and kids.” We have an entirely new form of birtherism here. Off with her head! One of their followers on Twitter said that there really were millions there — “spiritually.” Isn’t that always the way?

I saw Rights and Principles supporting The Naysayers back in 08.

  • matty1

Wait I just checked and it seems The Naysayers are a real band from Australia http://thenaysayers.bandcamp.com/

No confirmation yet on Rights and Principles

  • Jared Ragland

    And today’s internet goes to…(envelope please)…Matty1!

  • Pen

This makes me feel like I didn’t waste 8 years in the Army defending our Rights and Principles.

He does have a point there you know. The US is one of the places in the world where you can openly plot a coup and the president responds by going out for lunch. That is something to be proud of.

Do you not understand the depths of this man’s moral depravity and non-American-ness, Ed? He didn’t simply mock them by going to a Shake Shack, Obama last night (apparently during the 4th day of OAS, because it’s still going on, or something), went to a Little League game! He’s now destroyed baseball. Thanks Obama.

  • doublereed

So has OAS Day 2 already happened and was it already successful????

  • blf

    He’s now destroyed baseball.

Nah, the only thing he’s destroyed is <blockquote>ing.

Now, Ed, you KNOW the Obama Administration has pulled the secret weather-control satellites out of storage to use tfor shutting down protestors.

I prayed really hard that the turnout would be lousy. Therefore, prayer works and God is on our side.

    Checkmate, wingnuts!

  • gmacs

I recently saw some right winger comment on an article that the states needed to “reunite” against the federal government.

    I just about died laughing.

  • zmidponk

    Taz:

    Checkmate, wingnuts!

But the turnout was good. The predicted millions thousands hundreds couple of dozen turned up.

… which I’m pretty sure was done deliberately to make fun of you.

Eh, I think the whole event was beneath his notice. At least I hope so.

  • ospalh

The last one is a new one, at least from a typographic standpoint. Behold the amazing double comma. Who needs spaces anyway

  • matty1

Dingo, are all the band names people find in Ed’s posts real in Australia?

  • http://www.pandasthumb.org Area Man

So has OAS Day 2 already happened and was it already successful????

Not quite. Due to some miscalculating by the organizers, only 144 milliseconds of the day showed up.

    “Dude, do you even English?”

of corpse he does and right now, he’s laughing at you, asteriskally!

  • Ichthyic

“I speak English! Who… is your floor?”

Floor has always been there to support me when times get tough.

    other times too.

OK, I bet at least one of you is curious.

    Elevator fight, Diamonds are Forever.

for all you that dont believe in taking our country back,,YOU are going to be the the ones that go to the fema camp..YOU will be the ones that end up on the guilitines first

That doesn’t even make authoritarian dictatorship sense. You clearly allow the sleeping masses to sleep. They end up at the guillotine last. The people you drag out of their beds first are the 0.0001% of the population that showed up for this rally.

  • Nick Gotts

Come on now, American Spring would only look like a failure if you use atheistical commie-fascist Mooslem evilutionist counting, like they did in the so-called elections that Barry Hussein Soetero suppposedly won!!! In Christian math, counting goes:

“One, two, three, six thousand, thirty million”!

    Teach the controversy!!!

  • martinc

Ooh shiny, maybe I’ll sell it to buy tickets to see Rights and Principles

There’s a John Wrightson Band … if they double-billed with dingojack’s Principles, it would be a Wrightson/Principles gig, right?

(Interesting gig – the former is acoustic folk, the latter is scream metal)

  • http://polrant@blogspot.com democommie

    @26:

Would that be worse than an acoustic metal/scream folk concert?

  • dingojack

Nick – so that’s how Jesus fed all those people. Christian counting.
