Barton Preaches Theocracy in Ukraine

Glenn Beck recently claimed that his good friend, fake historian David Barton, had been invited to give his usual lecture full of lies to politicians in a former Soviet republic. Now Barton has revealed that it was in the Ukraine, where he told them how to base their entire country on the Bible.

Today, Barton appeared on James Dobson’s radio program where he revealed that the country that had invited him was none other than Ukraine, where he spent two days meeting with members of the government and various religious leaders in order to teach them how to build a proper government based on the teachings of the Bible.

“They were absolutely shocked to find out how practical the Bible was,” Barton said. “They had no clue that all of these things [pertaining to government] were in the Bible … We talked to them about all sorts of things, about education in the Bible, about all sorts of things, so they were alive and on fire.”

  • “They were absolutely shocked to find out how practical the Bible was,”

I think we’d all be, if it actually were.

If teh Buybull so practical where does it tell me I left me beer?

  • StevoR : Free West Papua, free Tibet, let the Chagossians return!

    Never mind. Found it.

Also Barton’s advice has helped the Ukraine?

Yeesh. Really? Don’ look like it. They’re better off now how ‘zactly?

Vatican City, Saudi Arabia and Iran all beat him to it.

    The Russian orthodox bible yeah?

Think the old Tsarist Russian empire might’ve beaten him to it there. Perhaps?

  • Man from U S come to Ukraine. We here in country go to city to place where he are, for advising on live in better future. Am disappoint. His speech was full with crazy. Much laughing was had with good part, when he put goggle and cap on head of his, and look like squvirrel from program of moose and sqvuirrel.

Modus: I had a Ukranian co-worker who was complaing about all the animals digging up her garden, especially the squirrels. She sounded so much like Natasha from Rockey and Bullwinkle that I finally had to ask her to say “moose and squirrel”. The lab manager and I laughed until we cried (and then expalined why it was funny).

Squirrel = funny. Barton = not funny.

“They were absolutely shocked to find out how practical the Bible was,”

So how long will the Ukranians have to wait for Yahweh to appoint their king?

  • keithb

So, who gets to be king of Ukraine?

  • If Ukraine ever does become a theocrazy it will be a Ukrainian Orthodox or Catholic theocrazy. Neither group has any need for heretical fundamentalist biblethumpers. As is happening in Russia the Orthodox Church will start crushing non-Orthodox groups.

    Jebus! Hasn’t Ukraine suffered enough?

  • Doc Bill

    I know it’s radical, but I don’t believe a word Barton says.

    Mooze and Sqvirrel, I believe!

  • Pen

I have to credit this to a Kiwi, but it’s been noted that a good, hefty Bible with quite thin paper is very practical indeed when you’re out in the wilderness and no good mountain hut should be without one.

  • dingojack

Pen – Q: Is Barton totally idiotic?

A: Do the genus Apteryx shit in the woods?!

    😀 Dingo

    @JustaTech

Squirrel = funny. Barton = not funny.

Barton + eaten by squirrels = priceless

Best thing is it is no real departure from a squirrel’s usual diet.
