Wingnut: Have More Children to Defeat Gay Rights

Tim Brown, father of ten children from the “U.S. occupied Great State of South Carolina” and intrepid salesman of semi-automatic weapons, has come up with the absolutely brilliant idea that if the anti-gay bigots really want to stop equality they should just have more kids.

With the issue of homosexuality and homosexual “marriage” on the rise, it should be apparent to anyone looking at the situation that the left is hopeless on their social agenda. By hopeless I’m not saying that they don’t get some of their agenda through. I’m saying their long-term agenda is toast if people, especially Bible believing Christians, simply woke up and took the command of the Bible seriously when it comes to children…

The reason liberals will inevitably lose is because they are on the side that wants the right to murder babies before they are even born. The homosexuals have chosen a side in which it is impossible for them to procreate. They cannot have children. This is why, for many, they petition to not only redefine marriage, which would seek to legitimize them as a family, but also adopt children. In other words, the liberals have built into their worldview self-limitization.

If Christians simply took the command of God serious, in just a couple of generations there would be a mass expansion of Christianity and the gospel of Jesus Christ. The demographics of our society would undergo a significant shift…

Notice that this is one of the reasons for the distinction of the sexes. It is so that they may come together as man and wife, to be fruitful, to fill the earth, subdue it and take dominion. This is in direct contrast to men with men and women with women.

Christianity is losing ground in America because we have failed to take this seriously. In the practice of our lives we have been content to keep our “religion at the church house” rather than live it daily, being obedient to the commands of God. We have adopted the limits on children in the family based on the cultural mold rather than adhered to the Word of God and trusted God for the expansion of our families and His kingdom.

See, here’s the thing: Straight people, regardless of their religion, have always had more children than gay people (who can and do have children, however, just not as many). Has that somehow meant less gay people? Nope. And it never will. But wait, here comes the contradiction:

Many welfare “baby mommas” continue to churn out children as wards of the state using your tax dollars. Many of these vote for those that give them money and teach their friends to do what they do in order to get money for nothing. They engage in all sorts of lawless and sinful lifestyles, then expect taxpayers to fund them.

Gee, what if they’re really just “being obedient to the commands of God” and letting him decide how many children they’ll have?

But wait, here comes the contradiction:

I’d appreciate a little more advance warning when there’s going to be a contradiction in something a right-wing Christian zealot wingnut says or writes. It took me totally off guard, and I can’t focus on anything else for a while.

  • sugarfrosted

This plan would backfire irl. Birth order correlates with homosexuality. Later children are more likely to be gay, so they’re making more gay kids.

And “the command of God” means, of course, he would be the self-appointed arbiter of which commands suit his agenda to the exclusion of those which don’t.

And conflating same-sex marriage with the “churning out” of welfare children opens so many fantastical doors that even Puck would be amused.

Not if you beat the gay out of them while they are young. “Spare the rod” and all that.

Straight Christians never have gay children.

  • dingojack

Yes have more children – lots and lots of them. Work yourself into bankrupt serfdom. Brilliant!

And here’s the kicker. Guess which demographic is most likely to be accepting of marriage equality? Yep 18-29’s. More kids = more gays = more accepting society.

    Knock yourselves out, morans!

It’s a brilliant idea. For atheists and normal people.

    1. All your time and money will be spent trying to raise 10 or 20 kids. According to a recent study, it costs $250,000 to raise a middle class American kid.

For 10 kids that is a cool $2.5 million.

    2. Of course, Tim Brown isn’t going to spend that much. He doesn’t have that much. His kids will grow up ill-educated, housed, fed, and with substandard or nonexistent medical care.****

    3. And statistically, a few breeder kids will be…gay. A few will escape the cults. The rest will flounder through life if they are lucky.

**** It is quite possible Tim Brown, breeder cult guru, is a moocher. Many of these people take advantage of the social safety net, those commie things. Food stamps, Aid to dependent children, child tax credit, Medicaid, and so on.

How does a moron like Tim Brown support ten kids? Who knows, but maybe he doesn’t. You, the tax payers might be doing so.

FWIW, what I’ve seen of large families hasn’t been too impressive.

    1. My friend, the ex-Catholic, grew up in a family of 6. The parents were well off. Money was still tight, and the kids squabbled a lot over access to resources.

Between all 6 kids, there are a whole 6 more kids. None of them went the breeder route or stayed RCC.

    2. I read an article by some woman from a breeder cult. It was generally rah rah breeder cult but she didn’t like the major poverty part.

Her family had no money for medical care. So much of the time they were sick and suffering from one thing or another. When they absolutely had to, they went to alt med quacks because they were cheaper.

She loves Obamacare. Now her many kids get commie health care from real doctors.

Are there some Koran or Bhaghavad Gita believing Christians out there that I’m not aware of? I thought believing in the Bible was kind of a corner stone of actually being Christian?

Brown’s a bit late in the day with that idea. Christians are already doing that as part of the Quiverfull movement. The Duggars, of 19 Kids and Counting fame, are sometimes said to be Quiverfull adherents, although I see no indication they’re directly connected to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quiverfull

  • raven

Brown’s a bit late in the day with that idea.

    Meh, no big deal.

The idea of one group trying to outbreed the others is ancient. Probably thousands of years old.

It rarely works. After a few generations, people decide they have better things to do with their time and money. And, their bucket has a huge hole in it. Religion isn’t hereditary. A lot of their efforts end up producing ex-breeder cultists.

They can’t recruit so they have to reproduce. And these days end up producing a lot of…No Religions.

The Catholics tried it. Today the average RCC family size is identical to the US average. The Mormons tried it. Their birth rate is high but gradually dropping towards the US average and they have a defector problem as well.

  • gulliveruk

Knock yourself out. As pointed out the more children you have, the likely some will be gay – it’s biologically related (at least for males), so this is just dandy.

More importantly, polling clearly shows equality is supported by younger people in far larger percentages than over 60s, the more young people the better — more progressives, more democrats, more liberals.

  • Larry

took the command of the Bible seriously when it comes to children

What, like murdering the first born child in each family? Throwing your daughter to the mob outside just to keep them from knocking on your door? Children disobeying their parents are to be executed? Have bears tear them apart for mocking someone?

Not quite the Dr. Spock guide to raising children.

  • kestra

The Duggars are absolutely Quiverfull, and furthermore adherents to the Pearl’s “To Train Up a Child” parenting guidelines, which have been linked to several deaths of children due to abuse and neglect by their parents or guardians. Libby Anne of Love Joy Feminism and No Longer Quivering on Patheos have long documented the dog-whistle coding the Duggars use that any Quiverfull adherents would recognize. You can also see this much more clearly in the earlier seasons, when all the women and girls are still wearing jumpers and 80s home-perm hair, among other signifiers.

Considering the rate at which younger people are leaving the churches, I think the toast is buttered on the other side.

Many welfare “baby mommas” continue to churn out children as wards of the state using your tax dollars.

Now why would he talk about his wife that way?

Ten children means the Brown family is getting paid up to $10,000 in free government money each and every year, not counting the deductions they can take or the costs incurred by local schools. MOOCHER.

Are there some Koran or Bhaghavad Gita believing Christians out there that I’m not aware of? I thought believing in the Bible was kind of a corner stone of actually being Christian?

“Bible believing” is just code for “right-wing fundamentalist”. It’s their conceit that only they actually follow the Bible (except, they don’t really), unlike all those fake Christians who accept evolution and whatnot. Also, it makes it sound like they speak for far more people than they actually do.

  • shadowwalkyr

It’s not a new idea. It’s been around so long and has been tried by so many different groups it has a name: “biological colonialism.”

  • Electric Shaman

With the issue of homosexuality and homosexual “marriage” on the rise…

On the rise? The issue seems to have been at the forefront for some time, and seems to have been settled in terms of public opinion. An attempt at belittling the achievements made by proponents of marriage equality? Amazing how they can still be condescending in defeat.

In the practice of our lives we have been content to keep our “religion at the church house” rather than live it daily, being obedient to the commands of God.

Oh for fucks sake shut the fuck up and go away.

The tactic of out breeding the competition is a pretty common feature of the authoritarian mind.

I find the second bit a bit ironic give the number of huge Mormon families that live on welfare payments.

  • anubisprime

A tacit admittance that they have neither the wit, the argument, nor the authority to promote their delusion in a society where secular education is the norm and the internet rules….in short they have lost the battle for actually gaining jeebus sunshine victims and are losing significant ground in perpetuating this superduper sky fairy myth.

They are also haemorrhaging from their own ranks at a rate they have never encountered before, the traditional stock of next generation jeebus creepers are evaporating like smoke before their eyes…they is sad and frightened bunnies!

So but the one tactic left..out breed!

It will not work, time is not on their side and the resources are not available or compliant.

They will turn into the pastiche of that which they denigrate, statistically they will breed a generation of truly confused and lost kids, educationally they will flounder, finances will be restricted, social services will be inadequate and the diminishing number of churches will be overwhelmed by family problems and consequently fail to provide the guiding path they traditionally dispense with threat of isolation and ostracism which only works when the population is at an optimum count for them.

If they follow bozos wisdom then the dynamic of a god led society fails due to inundation of social breakdown and finally escape by the baby boomer generation from the inevitable poverty that is home turf.

It will not reduce the average teh ghey count per head population either, so all in all they are well and truly, fucked up like a turkey at thanksgiving!

They will create their own ghetto, literally a trailer trash generation with the associated drug, crime and dreg problems that infect most inner city areas, maybe they can elect Beck to be their mayor!

    Brown:

If Christians simply took the command of God serious [sic]

The ‘be fruitful’ command was given to the Jews.

What Jesus told his followers was to be celibate, and if you couldn’t hack celibacy, get married rather than just have sex while unmarried. So no, trying to produce large families is not following Jesus’ command, it’s intentionally setting out to sin.

    @28:

A tacit admittance that they have neither the wit, the argument, nor the authority to promote their delusion in a society where secular education is the norm and the internet rules.

Yep, this. If your ideology’s best bet is outbreeding the competition, you have basically admitted that it (your ideology) only makes good sense to 3-year-olds.

  • Synfandel

Okay, we’ve been fruitful, filled the Earth, subdued it, taken dominion, exhausted the resources, and fouled the soil, water, and air. Now what, God?

  • a_ray_in_dilbert_space

Now, remind me again. Why didn’t Lincoln just let S. Carolina secede and become the third-world shithole it so desperately wants to be?

And then, why didn’t Sherman burn up the whole damned state?

    So many lost opportunities.

    @ Dingo:

Thanks for demonstrating that a small literary allusion can still be recognized.

What Jesus told his followers was to be celibate,

Jesus told his male followers to cut off their testicles!!! Be eunuches!!!

He did leave them an out, only if they “can bear it”. It’s happened but not very often. If Timmy Brown were a Real Devout xian, he wouldn’t have ten kids. He would be minus a pair of endocrine organs. Xians, these days are a bunch of wimps and they are all Cafeteria xians!!!

Matthew 19:12King James Version (KJV) Jesus speaking.

12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men:

and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

There you go. Jesus wants you to castrate yourself.

  • a_ray_in_dilbert_space

It just occurred to me that the Xtians are adopting the same strategy as insects and rodents–lots of offspring so that despite high mortality (in this case represented by the sprog’s discovery that they hate their parents) some survive to propagate the species/bigotry.

  • eric

    Peterh,

I don’t go as far as Raven; I interpret Matthew 19’s ‘make yourself a eunuch for heaven’s sake’ as a figure-of-speech call for celibacy, not a call to literally cut off one’s testicles. However that is the passage that I was referring to, and Raven and I most likely agree that it’s not (just) John that called for celibacy, that call comes from Jesus’ own words in the gospels.

  • eric

    oops Paul, not John.

  • Doug Little

I read a study a few years back (not sure if it is still relevant) that states the chances of having a gay child increase with every birth so yeah this could have the opposite effect to what they are trying to achieve.

If Christians simply took the command of God serious …

Then the solution is for three or more of Mr Brown’s True Christian ™ male friends to pray in Jesus’ name and He will answer their prayer. Obviously Mr Brown doesn’t know any Christians or the problem would not exist.
