Steve Doocy: Still the Dumbest Man on Television

Steve Doocy, star of the Fox News morning show and a man that handlers insist they have managed to teach to dress himself, remains the dumbest man allowed on television. During a segment on the show with Geraldo Rivera, maybe the most annoying man on television, he repeatedly insisted that New York City is now going to allow undocumented immigrants to vote.

Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera spent a chunk of time on Fox and Friends Friday morning arguing with co-host Steve Doocy over whether half a million undocumented immigrants in New York have just been given the right to vote. Doocy appeared convinced that the city of New York’s new municipal ID program is really just a plot to enfranchise New York’s undocumented population.

The Fox and Friends host announced with certainty that the new municipal ID, which he speculated is “predominantly for illegals”, can be used to vote in local and state elections.

The completely unfounded allegation was quickly shut down by Rivera: “They give you free admission to the zoo and cultural events,” he said, “I do not believe they give you permission to vote.”…

Doocy was unconvinced: “So you think they shouldn’t be able to vote? Because I think they can.”

You think they can because you’re a moron who is apparently incapable of googling something. New York state law and federal law both absolutely require proof of citizenship before being allowed to register to vote. And if you can’t register to vote, you can’t show up at the polls and vote on election day.

New York state law and federal law both absolutely require proof of citizenship before being allowed to register to vote.

But now they’ll have photo IDs and be able to go to other states and vote!!!

I’m sorry, it’s really hard to play that dumb.

  • eric

Yes, we must absolutely stop democrat-leaning immigrants from voting in NYC and New York State. Because they might cause the state to elect more, um, er, never mind.

ITS EVEN WORSE THAN HE SAYS!!! ILLEGALS DONT EVEN NEED ID TO VOTE!!! AND WHEN THEY VOTE A ACORN VOLUNTEER (*WINK WINK*) FOLLOWS THEM IN TO THE BOOTH AND CHECKS THE DEMOCRAT PARTY CANDIDATES FOR THEM!!!

WITH “URBAN PEOPLE” (*WINK WINK*) “HELPING” THOSE PEOPLE (*WINK WINK*) TO “VOTE” ITS NO WONDER THAT SO FEW MINORITIES VOTE FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!!

MINORITIES YOUR BEING USED!!! STOP BEING TOOLS OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND START BEING TOOLS OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!!

Personally, though, I have no problems with the idea of allowing anyone to vote if they can confirm residency. I think that people should have the right to vote in the places they actually live. “Consent of the governed” and all that.

He knows better. He’s just lying to stir up the faithful.

It can’t be easy to stay that stupid – I often learn thing accidently while just living my life, Dooc must be kept in a sensory deprivation chamber when he isn’t on the air.

I think that Mike Lupica would give Gerald Rivers a run for his money in this regard.

A little OT: What is it with fast-food restaurants these days. Seems every one I go into, if there’s a TV on the wall, it’s tuned to Fox Cable news. I finally adopted the policy of buying food-to-go from convenience stores because very few of them have a TV on the wall to annoy and insult their patrons.

  • corwyn

Well, if they are on the registered voters rolls, they can’t be said to be undocumented now can they?

As annoying as Geraldo is, it’s nice to see a TV right-winger actually defend immigrants. And he does a pretty good job, mostly because his opponents are so stupid. Sadly, I’m pretty sure that if you took his brain and put it in a white dude’s body, he’d be just as anti-immigrant as the rest of the Fox crowd. Conservatives hate injustice, but only when it happens to them.

To be fair how many different ways are there to say “Niggers, Spics and kikes will rape you and your entire family to death unless you vote Republican”?

    @6. “He knows better. He’s just lying…”

A pretty arrogant and presumptuous position to take, unless you have some ESP powers or something. Paraphrasing Abraham Lincoln: “Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity.”

  • anubisprime

I wonder if the faux outrage would dissipate completely from certain quarters if it emerges that the majority of undocumented immigrants intended to vote republican?
