‘Prophet’: ‘Evil’ Will Cancel 2016 Election

A self-declared “prophet” named Glenda Jackson told hilariously ridiculous online Christian talk show host Sid Roth that God told her that “evil” is going to cancel the 2016 election. And she should know because she predicted the shooting of Ronald Reagan, though she has no evidence of this.

A woman who says she prophesied the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, and the fact that he would not die, and the Gulf War, and the Iraq War, is speaking again.

And she’s marking down for history the message she has been given that people must learn to recognize God’s voice for the End Times.

“He showed me that if Christians don’t start praying more than they ever have…. even churches, this next [presidential] election is not going to take place. That it’s going to be suspended. Because evil going to arise,” Glenda Jackson explains to host Sid Roth of the “It’s Supernatural” show.

“Some disasters are going to happen. Things are going to be put in place. The president’s not going to be removed and he’s going to stay in. It’s going to be very bad if we don’t get hold of God,” she said. “The church has got to get back to prayer.”

Well if she says she predicted the assassination of Ronald Reagan, it must be true, right? Of course, if this “prophecy” turns out to be false — and it will — we get to stone her to death like the Bible says, right?

I’m sure she did predict St Ronald’s almost martyrdom, I mean it’s soooo much easier to predict things in the past.

we get to stone her to death like the Bible says, right?

How about if everybody in the country just turns their backs and refuses to ever listen to her again? I suspect she would find that a worse punishment than the stoning.

Naw, she’s already got a Get Out of Jail Free card:

if Christians don’t start praying more than they ever have…. even churches, this next [presidential] election is not going to take place

It was her “waking up” the church to pray as it has never prayed before that averted the cancellation of the election.

It’s going to be very bad if we don’t get hold of God,” she said.

Let’s just hope he has his cell phone on.

Funny thing is, prophecy in the bible is almost always married to political causes. Peaceniks prophets who feared Jerusalem would be destroyed unless they surrendered told everyone God said so, warmongering prophets received messages that God would be with Israel if they fought their enemies, and so on.

In my more naive days as a Christian, I always cringed when doomsaying prophets would declare that Clinton would lead our nation into ruin or that Obamacare was the beginning of a new holocaust. I thought it was mingling the purity of the gift of prophecy with the muddy mess of contemporary politics. Now that I understand it in proper context, this sort of bullshit no longer surprises or shocks me.

But I’m sure she prophesied the 2008 global economic meltdown, too, even though the president was a conservative. /snark

No criticism of moar, I hope he’s right. But this would not change hardly anything. Christians have a systemic defect of believing such tripe. And when they abandon one of their own, they still cling to same defective thinking that attracted them to those people in the first place. Rarely do you see such people realize what they have to change to no longer believe in falsehoods they like.

And such defective thinking isn’t exclusive to believers, it’s also common among political ideologues. Just the other day in this forum the libertarian lancifer cited a libertarian hero’s assertions as evidence his definition of “social justice” was true. The defectiveness of such systemically defective thinking continues beyond the tactical clusterfucks we observe from these types.

“Things are going to be put in place.”

In honor of the Python explosion on the God’s Not Dead 2 thread, let us now take a moment to remember the passing of the Society for Putting Things on Top of Other Things.

Apparently Glenda (the Good Witch of the North) received a garbled communication.

It’s not “Evil” that will cancel the 2016 elections, but Elvis, in righteous wrath that his Earthly avatars will be forced to perform gay marriages in the Sodom of the Southwest. The King™ will then resurrect his friend Richard Nixon to handle White House duties and return us all to Real Righteousness (sequins optional).

She’s right! Evil will cancel the 2016 elections, leaving the USA with no president and the Republicans in control of the House (and possibly the Senate)!

  • Kevin Kehres

I for one will welcome the cancellation of the 2016 elections, which will herald the beginning of the One World government as outlined in UN Agenda 21, with the reptilian people as our overlords, aided by the Illuminati, the Masons, and Queen Elizabeth.

I hope I get to run a FEMA death camp.

    It’s all coming together! FINALLY!

It’s going to be very bad if we don’t get hold of God.

The church has got to get back to prayer.

Dear old god never gets down to specifics does he?

Whenever I catch a Christian praying I always ask them to pray for solutions to the Clay Mathematics Institute’s Millennium Prize Problems, but all they get is “Be nice to each other” and “Believe in me.

It’s as if the all-knowing god doesn’t even know about the problems, much less the solutions.

What have the churches been doing that requires them to get back to praying – holding orgies or something?

The nice thing about the general parts of the “prophecy” is that disasters happen all the time (saying that change based on wave of praying might even convince me) and things will get put in place.

The real question someone needs to ask Jackson is whether she will make a bet with her entire net worth on her 2016 prophecy, talk is cheap – Glenda!

  • tfkreference

She’s right. In fact, they should do nothing other than pray until the election is over. Don’t even leave the house to vote. Just pray.

So when the election is held, she just says that christians prayed enough. All good. her prophecy still is correct. It’s really nice to be right even when you’re wrong. wish I had that superpower.

No superpower needed … just know the grift.

Of course, she’ll be a little upset when Hillary wins in a landslide…

  • dhall

Dr. Evil will cancel the elections with some kind of nefarious plot, but only if we pay him one million dollars first.

  • bmiller

Mr. Kehres: Given her history and views, we should ALL be a little upset when Hillary wins. Not saying the Republican would be better, but…

  • John Pieret

BTW, I wonder what drove Glenda Jackson to take up this gig. She was great in Elizabeth R.

  • Kevin Kehres

@19…Oh please. 2017 will be the third term of the Hillary presidency. There are not two peas’ worth of difference between her and Obama. She might be slightly more militaristic in her words — but probably not in her actions. Everything else is pretty much a wash. I expect she’ll have a little more backbone in standing up to the right wingers with about as much effectiveness. That’s it.

They’re both center-right Democrats. Which back in the 1970s would have made them Nixonian Republicans.

I’m under no illusions that hers will be a progressive or a liberal presidency. But the alternative? Ted Cruz? HA! Or Mitt Romney? Ugh.

But no Democrat has a snowball’s chance in a volcano of getting the nomination other than Hillary. She has built the machine inch-by-inch, yard-by-yard for years…more than a decade (counting her Senate campaign and all). She has more money, more Q factor, more broad-based grassroots support, more poll support than the next nearest 5 Democrats combined. Nobody is going to stand in her way this time. Some few might make a show-up just so there’s no conspiracy theory baloney — they’re going to get trounced.

She already has a draft of her inauguration address.

  • marcus

bmiller @ 19 “Not saying the Republican would be better, but…”

No you can be sure that the Republicans would be catastrophically worse, in ways you can’t even imagine.

Hilary Clinton wouldn’t be my first pick, but she will be the one I vote for, if she does indeed win the nomination.

For all their faults the Democrats are at least cognizant that there are such things as social justice and equal rights. The Republicans believe that they are called upon by God to stamp those things out.

  • Silent Service

Stone her? Why would you do something that cruel to a rock? What in the hell have rocks ever done to you?

  • Kevin Kehres

    @24 dingojack…

Precisely so. That’s the reason for BENGHAZI!!11!!!!eleventy!! in the first place. The goopers are desperately trying to find something they can “pin” on Hillary. And the best they’ve come up with is a terrorist attack on an embassy where there wasn’t enough security in place, because Congress cut the State Department’s security budget.

That and not being BFFs with Monica Lewinsky, apparently. And being a grandmother.
