Palin Pretends She May Run for Office Again

Oh, how cute. And predictable. Sarah Palin is once again pretending that she might someday run for some unspecified office. This is how you keep the rubes interested, how you keep the money pouring in for speaking fees and to your Super PAC, by pretending you might run for office.

Palin said in an interview on Fox Business Network that her “haters” only strengthen her resolve to be a force in politics.

“It invigorates me it wants me to get out there and defend the innocent,” she said. “It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country. So, hey, the more they’re pouring on, the more I’m going to bug the crap out of them by being out there with a voice, with the message, hopefully running for office in the future too.”

What is she gonna do, run for half a term? She isn’t running. Running for office is work. Real work. 18 hours a day work. And if you win, it’s even more work. Sarah Palin is allergic to work, which is why she quit her job the first time as soon as she figured out she could make more money being a public spectacle than a public servant.

It’s that “servant” thing that’s a real downer.

There must be a position of “public advocate” in some small Alaskan town that would only take a few days campaigning and maybe one day a week spouting ignorant crap (which she enjoys) and then forgetting all about the people involved. That would be perfect for her.

  • dingojack

Here allow me to fix your headline — Palin pretends anyone still gives a shit.

    There, that’s much more accurate.

Ed, Ed, please don’t spoil my dreams. Men are heavily overrepresented right now…the clown car needs more women.

John Pieret – “Public advocate”? Is that the new PC term for “Village Idiot”?

Is it possible for her to say anything that is not an expression of victimhood? She could be discussing what to eat for lunch and whine about how unfair the world has been to her.

  • raven

and whine about how unfair the world has been to her.

The world has been very generous to her.

Her long running Reality TV show, Alaskan Hillbilly Grifters has made her and her clan rich and famous.

    FIFY.

(the following must be said in the same disaffected monotone used by Gene Wilder in the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory):

No, please, Sarah, don’t. We liberals will be so upset if you run. Please stop.

Have at it. At this point, I doubt she even get elected dog catcher in Wasilla, never mind a statewide or nationwide race.

Dr X “At this point, I doubt she even get elected dog catcher in Wasilla, never mind a statewide or nationwide race.”

Now you’re just being ridiculous. Wasilla’s dog catcher is appointed.

It is always easier to stand on the sidelines and criticize than to actually govern and in her case the money is about the same. So why would she want to do a job where she has to get something done and would be accountable.

Sarah Palin may be the single most successful con woman of our time.

@3 You must not know anyone who is on the far right then, if you can think that.

She could if dogs had the vote.

Sounds more like she wants to be a defense lawyer. But that would entail book learnin’ in lawyer skool. Or maybe she wants to be a superhero. Wasilla Woman, whipping up word salads faster than a speeding bullet.
