Wiles: Obama Using Ebola to Turn People Into Zombies

Okay, I’m beginning to think that maybe Rick Wiles is a Poe. Even by Christian right standards, his claims are completely unhinged and hyperbolic. He makes Alan Keyes seem reasonable by comparison. On his show this week, he claimed that Obama is going to deliberately infect our soldiers and vets with Ebola, then put everyone in re-education camps and turn them into zombies.

Yesterday, the “Trunews” host said that “‘Ebola Obama’ will place West African Ebola victims in Veterans Affairs hospitals throughout the United States of America. He’ll contaminate the VA hospitals with the Ebola virus.”

Wiles also warned last week that “Ebola Obama’s swat teams” will force people into “Ebola Barry’s Ebola Recovery and Re-Education Camps,” fearing that “when you are released from the Obama Ebola Recovery and Re-Education Camp you’ll be a zombie, a walking dead.”

But wait, wasn’t he claiming a few weeks ago that Ebola was great because it could “solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion”? That damn Obama foiled his plans!

You don’t understand! Ebola can do all those things, not to mention removing stubborn bathtub rings and curing the heartbreak of psoriasis, because there is only one cause and effect in the world … his idea of what God wants. Anything that Wiles thinks is God’s wish will come true, no matter how contradictory.

But “zombie” is such a lovely dog-whistle. And seasonal, too.

Maybe they can dust off the picture of Obama with a bone through his nose, too.

“‘Ebola Obama’ will place West African Ebola victims in Veterans Affairs hospitals throughout the United States of America. He’ll contaminate the VA hospitals with the Ebola virus.”

Actually, this is a xian plot!!!

The only time this has happened so far, is in Texas. At Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. The tell is right there in their name. Presbyterians are a common sect of…Protestant xians.

They aren’t even trying to hide any of this. What has foiled them is Obama moving their Ebola patients elsewhere to keep them from spreading the virus further.

Hey – if you use Ebola to “solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion” — You’re gonna have only Republicans and Teabaggers left uninfected. Us Zombies are gonna starve to death!

Won’t anyone think of the Zombies?!?

@2 I forgot that. Zombie is a word borrowed from an African language borrowed through African-American English. What’s next is Obama going to give the Christians evil eye and curse them through a voodoo ritual. (To be fair, does anyone really remember the origin of the word “Zombie”?

Or he is unhinged and hyperbolic.

Wiles could just be trying to shout over all the other xian rightwing nuts. The entire leadership of the fundies are lunatic fringers. I can’t see that he is bright enough to do it though. Needs more demons, space reptiles, and some commies.

If you are going to Make Stuff Up, in for a penny, in for a pound. Don’t worry about sounding insane, your fans can’t tell the difference. Or care.

@5 I know that Voodoo is a form of Christianity mixed with African rituals.

Ebola Obama is a wannabe rapper right?

To be fair, except for all of it, it makes perfect sense.

…Recovery and Re-Education Camps,” fearing that “when you are released from the Obama Ebola Recovery and Re-Education Camp you’ll be a zombie, a walking dead.”

That is what the fundie xians do!!! He is just afraid that Obama will do to them what they do to themselves.

After all, it is what happened to Rick Wiles. They call there Re-education camps, “churches” and “Sunday schools” supplemented by homeschooling and private xian nonschools.

The results are the walking brain dead adults.

@7 A brief google suggests Voodoo is actually a covering term for several similar religions that mix traditional African and Chrisitan elements in different ways as well as being used in parts of west Africa for the traditional (non-Christian) religions themselves.

    @4:

Q: What did the vegan zombie say?

    A: “Graaaaaainnns!”

[forget where I heard that one …]

  • grumpyoldfart

He’s not a Poe. He’s an American citizen smart enough to notice that he lives a country full of hillbilly halfwits who are just begging to be ripped off.

  • lldayo

These zombies are gonna have some real problems attacking the living. All of that vomiting and black diarrhea can really slow one down.

  • cptdoom

But according to Alex Jones they’ll all be stoned zombies, so they won’t have the drive or energy to actually go after brains themselves. They’ll all be waiting for the government to deliver the brains to their doors – which will all be supplied by babies aborted in Benghazi.

Even if this were true, then Mr. Wiles’ is either not smart enough to realize the suffering he causes with his act or doesn’t have the integrity to care.

Even by Christian right standards, his claims are completely unhinged and hyperbolic.

Like many people, Wiles may have been seduced into extremism by the hope for a great and glorious transformational event. Not the return of Jesus or the universal revelation of Spirit, but that moment when everyone turns and proclaims “OMG, you were RIGHT! You were right all along! We’re so sorry we laughed at you!”

The greater the scorn and the more focused its target, the sweeter that little moment will be.

I swear, if we were to starting false reports of the deadly ooga-booga virus coming into the US, these idiots would start claiming it was a Obama conspiracy to put them into prison camps and take away their gunz. Either that, or it’s punishment from gawd for the icky gayz.

  • briandavis

Apparently Obama’s real father was Snidely Whiplash.

  • reddiaperbaby1942

According to Right Wing Watch, “On his program yesterday, Wiles presented a new possible explanation for these zombie drills: that the government could be working to splice together viruses to make people “literally go insane” like the man in Florida who ate another man’s face. This is all, of course, a sign that the Last Days are upon us, according to Wiles.”

It occurs to me that something like this has been tried before. Isn’t this the kind of splicing Saruman did, crossing orcs with goblin-men to create the Uruks? They would probably drive anyone insane. And the “last days” of Middle Earth were indeed about to begin.

I never realized Saruman was a rightwing fundamentalist crackpot, but now that I think about it the resemblance is obvious.
