Carlson: Obama Wants to Give Welfare to ISIS

In an absolutely bizarre exchange on Fox News, the increasingly ridiculous and unhinged Tucker Carlson declared that the Obama administration actually wants ISIS terrorists to come to the United States to get welfare. And a guest said that they’re inviting terrorists here so they can give them lawyers.

After an ISIS video released on Sunday purported to show the killing of U.S. aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, retired Navy SEAL Howard Wasdin warned the hosts of Fox & Friends about “terrorism coming to America” because the Obama administration was effectively telling the terrorists to “come here, we’ll take you into our warm embrace in America, find you some slick attorney, and possibly get you off of these charges.”

“Or give tons of social welfare benefits, which is exactly our policy now,” Carlson opined. “We have no policy that I’m aware of that restrict immigration from countries where ISIS is popular into the United States. Why wouldn’t we be doing that?”

“I mean, this is more dangerous to us than Ebola,” he warned. “And yet, I’m not aware of any public debate about restricting movement from those countries where ISIS is, you know, a group of folk heroes into the United States. Why?”

Yeah, if there’s one thing the Obama administration cannot reasonably be accused of, it’s coddling terrorists and trying to get them off in court. Every single person charged with terrorism since he took office has been convicted and is in prison for the rest of their lives. Same was true of the Bush administration, by the way. In fact, every foreign terrorist we’ve captured who got a civilian trial was convicted and is in the Florence Supermax. In 2010, there were almost 400 of them convicted and there have been several more convictions since then.

And seriously, giving welfare benefits to terrorists? That’s the best you can do? You should have said he wants the terrorists to come here to make them White House “czars” and employ them to round up Christians into FEMA camps to force them to get gay married.

The trouble is that there are sheeple who listen to this crap and believe it.

They’ve been consciously toning down their rhetoric since the big Republican election win.

  • naturalcynic

Well, of course they will get welfare. What do you think three meals a day and a room with a place to sleep is?

  • Kevin Kehres

Wait…so if someone is fleeing from ISIS…maybe because they’re a persecuted minority…maybe a religion that begins with a “C”…Obama should refuse to allow them into the country?

    Have I got that right?

That’s the best you can do?

No. That’s the best they have to do. It’s a Meritocracy where the only way to fail is to agree with Obama. Sure, some of the standouts get better seats, but when you break it down, everybody at the table is surrounded by amoral assholes.

    …the increasingly ridiculous…

Even when Carlson first showed up on TV as a pundit I thought he was lame. But these days he seems determined to head into Rush Limbaugh territory.

So many of the right-wing pundits insult the intelligence of their listeners. And sadly, the listeners don’t seem to understand their intelligence is being insulted.

“I mean, this is more dangerous to us than Ebola,” he warned.

That’s not a very high bar. One could easily argue that Tucker Carlson himself is more dangerous than Ebola.

Personally I think his parents should have named him Richard.

    Re scienceavenger @ #7

Hey, Richard Carlson was a fine actor so why pick on him?

  • karmacat

Obama could name many czars: one for cholera, one for bubonic plague, etc. He will then have to recruit from other terrorist groups for the vast number of czars he needs.

  • scienceavenger

    How about: Czar of Tards?

  • mithrandir

And of course repeating the lie that immigrants are getting welfare benefits.

    @Mobius (ein Physiker, vielleicht?):

In the same way that I, as a man, do not seem to understand when my vagina is being insulted.
