The Case of the Haunted Toaster

This is from 28 years ago but I saw it recently on Facebook and it cracked me up. It’s the story of a woman who claims to have a toaster possessed by Satan. But she keeps it because it makes great toast. The video is absolutely hilarious.

Toaster lady is a good little actress; well worth paying the standard fee. I wonder if she’s still alive?

In later editions, After Dark Software released software development kits that allowed many hundreds of versions of their screen saver software to be created.

I wonder whether a satanic version of this was among them.

I thought the flames shooting out of the toaster were a nice touch. But does making it into the supermarket tabloids really count as 15 minutes of fame?

Well, the piece of toast was strong evidence, but the flames shooting out of the toaster certainly convinced me.

That report’s not credible at all. Everybody knows the devil sounds like Broderick Crawford. “10-4. 21-50 bye.”

IIRC, my former GOP/Tea Party Congresswoman Sue Myrick, while on the Charlotte, NC city council, heard God talking to her through her coffee maker to run for mayor. So the toaster story is very believable to me.

Did she win the mayoral race? … That would be evidence of Starbuck’s Mermaid Goddess!
