Jindal Rally Material Blames Katrina on Gays and Abortion

Bobby Jindal’s upcoming The Response prayer rally is so identical to the one that Rick Perry held when he was running for president that the “resources” on the website are the exact same ones used then. And they include the claim that New Orleans was hit with Hurricane Katrina because of gays and abortion. I’m sure that’ll go over well in Louisiana.

Day 2 – Locust plagues

CONSIDERATION

In Joelʼs day Israel experienced the destruction of a massive locust plague. The nationʼs economy was crippled because of the decimation of the agriculture. The reason these plagues came was because of the peopleʼs negligence to worship and serve God with their whole heart. Because the people grew cold and eventually departed from God, they experienced incredible hardships. The result of their inner departure was multiple external crises.

In America today we face a similar crisis. We have watched sin escalate to a proportion the nation has never seen before. We live in the first generation in which the wholesale murder of infants through abortion is not only accepted but protected by law. Homosexuality has been embraced as an alternative lifestyle. Same-sex marriage is legal in six states and Washington, D.C. Pornography is available ondemand through the internet. Biblical signs of apostasy are before our very eyes. While the United States still claims to be a nation “under God” it is obvious that we have greatly strayed from our foundations in Christianity.

This year we have seen a dramatic increase in tornadoes that have taken the lives of many and crippled entire cities, such as Tuscaloosa, AL & Joplin, MO. And let us not forget that we are only six years from the tragic events of hurricane Katrina, which rendered the entire Gulf Coast powerless…

There is much at stake for the church in America. In many ways we are at a crossroads of two divergent paths. Either the church will turn to the Lord with her whole heart, sparking a great revival and reformation in our nation, or she will continue in compromise, keeping the status quo as we watch our nation turn to debauchery, sin and ultimately destruction.

I’d say our biggest plague at the moment is an infestation of Christian conservatives. And they do a lot more damage than locusts.

Jindfal’s staff must be as incompetent as he is — couldn’t they at least update it to reflect the fact that same-sex marriage is now legal in 35 states? That’s much, much scarier.

And I see they fail to draw the obvious conclusion from where those tornadoes hit.

Isn’t this the same guy who said that Republicans had to stop being the party of stupid?

Yahweh has notoriously bad aim. Gay marriage in Iowa = typhoon in the Philippines. And an infestation of nose hair.

  • pixiedust

    @2 Kevin

He amended that. Now he’s the guy who says Republicans have to stop saying that they have to stop being the party of stoopid.

  • Mike Morris

He’s going to have some stiff competition for the idiot, theocratic vote. Carson is running. Santorum is running. Perry is running. Jeb the dumber brother is running. These and the other loon magnets will be competing for the religious idiot vote. Going to be a fun primary.

Goddammit! I was wondering why that always happens! I hate it when I get a long one that tickles my nostril from the inside. I yank them out with my fingernails. It’s all those married, gay typhoons in the Philippines!

Oddly enough most of the top ten destructive hurricanes happened while abortion was illegal and gays tossed in jail. One hit right in the middle of WWII – wonder what that means? http://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/top-ten-most-damaging-us-hurricanes-98657141/?no-ist

And the tornado increase probably not a thing either: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/climate-information/extreme-events/us-tornado-climatology/trends

And the same thing happened in the ’30’s in the American west – it was called the Dust Bowl and even included a locust (and rabbit!) infestation. Why did Jesus cause this, was it just practice?

There could be something to all this. After all, God smote Louisiana with a Jindal governorship.

    Ed concludes:

The worst damage I see them systemically practicing is abusing children. That’s an evil few even call them out for doing.

Jesus was mad about the “Jazz Age.” Not just because of jazz, mind you, but short skirts and bobbed hair on women. Plus teenagers were using the automobile for petting. Something had to be done, by golly!

He needs someone to get up and make remarks that parallel the story from the debate in the Icelandic Alting when they were debating whether to convert to Christianity or not… “At what were the gods angry when that lava flowed?” (pointing to an old, cold lava flow).

If we ever allow gay men to get abortions, God will really clobber us.

My god… we’ve traveled back in time to 2011! The power of prayer is truly amazing.

Dumb-asses can’t do arithmetic. It’s been over 9 years since hurricane Katrina, not 6.

One good thing that came out of Katrina was that tens of thousands of dogs that were doomed to a slow, miserable, early, death from Heartworm were rescued and re-homed where they were treated and cherished. My Ziggy was one.

Perhaps it’s not a coincidence that “dog” is “god” spelled backwards.

That’s not faulty arithmetic at work, so much as blind apathy. I’m sure Jindal would have considered fact-checking Perry’s old material, if he thought it possible to have contained any to begin with.

Psst Bobby, Katrina was all about Israel (again), just ask Mr J.P. Sloane.
