Klingenschmitt’s Theocratic Nonsense on the New Jersey Mosque

I’ve written about a recent case where a Muslim group wanted to build a new mosque in New Jersey and the town quickly changed their zoning laws to prevent it. They’ve now been forced to settle and pay their legal fees and Gordon Klingenschmitt has some predictably idiotic things to say about it.

Gordon Kilngenschmitt, for one, is outraged by the decision as he relied on a Pamela Geller column about the case to declare on his “Pray In Jesus Name” program that Muhammad should have been put to death for being a false prophet while fuming that taxpayer funds are now being used to “promote a false religion.”

Klingenschmitt said that he discerned “a spirit of theft” behind the settlement and prayed that town officials “will not be complicit in the forcing of robbery and theft of the American taxpayer to give that money to promote a false religion, a false prophet, a false book, and now people of theft.”

All religions are false, of course. And funny how it’s only theft when a Muslim group gets their legal fees paid by a government. When a Christian group does it, it’s totally not theft. Because Jesus, or something.

Klinger’s stumbling, fumbling foolish attempt to make a credible argument gives new meaning to the phrase “wrapped around the axel.”

I would be outraged too. Outraged that my town pulled such a stupid stunt. If they hadn’t tried to block the mosque those tax dollars wouldn’t be wasted.

@ U Frood, not to mention the tax dollars wasted changing, said zoning laws, then money defending the lawsuit when it is filed. Then finally, all compounded now that they’ve lost, and have to pay legal fees of the plaintiff. But, they’ll blame the libs, or the “activist” judge who ruled on the case, instead of looking squarely in the mirror!

Muhammad should have been put to death for being a false prophet

Given all the false prophecies Gordo and his pals have made about how Obama will become a “dictator” and how gay marriage will destroy western civilization and all the rest, he might want to play down the putting to death of false prophets.

Personally, I don’t have a problem with the town blocking the mosque construction. This is another case of them tearing open old wound by trying to build too close to the Twin Towers. And, as we all know, the 36 miles between Bridgewater and Manhattan is a symbolic number to Muslims, somehow. Plus, them all driving their would effect traffic and parking.

Anyway, I’m all for Freedom of Religion, but not at the cost of foreigners being allowed to practice theirs. It’s their own fault, really. They should try to fit in more, and integrate in to America’s Melting Pot.

{II]t’s only theft when a Muslim group gets their legal fees paid by a government. When a Christian group does it, it’s totally not theft. Because Jesus, or something.

Theft is defined as anything done by someone who is not the out-of-marriage son of a child bride. Extra guilty points if she is not the wife of mythical carpenter. Extra extra “must be guilty” points if she is not also mythical. And if the child fails to do numerous impossible things as he grows up and as a young-ish man (as recorded by unreliable sources in a foreign language after the fact), then not only are you guilty, you are also guilty, guilty, and guilty!!

Since the Constitution was written by Christians for Christians freedom of religion means freedom to practice Christianity, all the Founding Daddies agree with this.

Did you forget the irony flag?

    From the OP:

Muhammad should have been put to death for being a false prophet

    Yup.

‘Cause that totally prevents someone from becoming the central figure for a religious movement.
