Farah Triples Down on Obama Not Leaving Office

Joseph Farah continues his “Obama isn’t going to leave in 2017” parade of bullshit. In his latest column, he says Obama won’t leave because he’s being pampered and getting all those vacations — a fraction of what Bush took, with not a word of complaint from Farah — for free. Seriously, he actually said that.

The 2013 17-day vacation in Hawaii for the president, his family, and staff and security was estimated to cost over $4 million. Even that seems low ball to me.

And, as the story goes, they have two more years left.

Or, do they?

These folks are living it up.

Do you really think Obama wants to give up the most powerful position in the world and one that affords him this kind of unimaginable, excessive, non-replicable luxury?

Might this provide a strong incentive for him to make the White House a more permanent home?

Yes, there I go again…

So let’s just consider the fact that Obama has never had it better – not even close. That’s not to say he hasn’t experienced the better things in life. He has. He got the best schooling. He’s been pampered. He never had to get his hands dirty. He never served in the military. He never sacrificed or wanted for anything material in his life.

Usually, people raised like that have high expectations for the future.

No doubt Obama will be in a position to make lots of money after the presidency, whenever he decides to end it. But it’s hard to imagine him enjoying six all-expense-paid vacations every year at his venue of choice. Not too many people live that kind of life – even with the “endowments” recent past presidents often get from their oil baron friends in the Middle East.

Do you think Obama’s about to give that up and move out of the White House to make room for Hillary Clinton?

I don’t know. The more I think about it, the less convinced I am.

Okay Joe, put your money where your mouth is. Or put your mouth where your mouth is. My offer still stands. Whoever wins the bet can never speak or write about politics ever again. Deal? Or are you just completely full of shit?

The reality is, of course, that once he leaves office Obama will be making bunches more money than he is now with less work and lots less grey-hair-inducing stress.

Unlike, say, Mitt Romney, who struggled and scraped all his life without any material support from his governor father, right? I mean, seriously? Obama’s family was solidly middle-class and much of the time he lived with his grandparents, it was a two-bedroom apartment in a fairly nondescript part of Honolulu.

Where and when did Pornstache Joe serve in the military?

    Unlike, say, Mitt Romney,..

Or George Bush II, whose family has employees to count their money and his father was merely President for one term.

Or Bill Clinton, from a fabuously wealthy family in a state noted for the number of millionaires. (This is sarcasm.) Clinton, IIRC was raised by a single mother in a nowhere place without a lot of money. His genius was to look like the hick he was while being very, very smart.

He’s right. Obama won’t leave the White House because if he leaves the White House he won’t get all that leave from the White House that he gets.

    Re cptdoom @ #2

In fairness, Obama graduated from Columbia as an undergraduate and received his law degree from Harvard. So on the college level, he did receive the best schooling.

    Yes, there I go again…

Trying to stir up the rubes for fun and profit. I suppose his best defense is that a significant number of them seem to enjoy it. There’s a sucker …

Fuckface Farah was born in 1954 so that he reached the age of 18 after the draft was suspended, as, of course, did Obama. A Google search fails to turn up evidence of military service on his part.

    No wonder he’s so uppity.

Jesus Christ does this motherfucker understand how English works? You don’t need a new paragraph for every sentence you clown.

  • JustaTech

Parkjames@10: It’s an improvement over the people who’ve never met a paragraph in their lives and leave 2 page long comments (usually not on this blog).

So, according to Farah, not only is Obama going to disregard the constitution and somehow declare himself president for a third term, but he’s also only doing it for the fancy vacations. I wonder what it is about Obama that makes Farah see him as such a lazy, selfish moocher. I wonder.

  • psweet

Umm, Ed, you might want to rephrase that bet. Your readers wouldn’t appreciate you winning it.

  • dugglebogey

Farah has an autocorrect that changes the N-word to “folks.”

And it’s not like former Presidents get lifetime pensions and a whole heck of a lot of time to relax – look at George II and his painting “talent.”

  • tfkreference

Don’t forget that Romney had to live in public housing when his dad had that government job.

The extra funny part was where he thinks Obama wouldn’t leave the Whitehouse if Hilary Clinton were elected – not a Republican, but Hilary Clinton.

    Can’t stop laughing.

Given how much numbskulls like Farah hate Hilary, you’d think her election would be the one thing that would make Farah want Obama to barricade himself in the Oval Office come Jan 2017.

Does Farah have a facebook page that we can all go and post Brayton’s bet on?

  • noe1951

Ed, don’t you mean that whoever loses the bet?

  • StevoR

    @18. theignored :

My quick search of facebook with Jospeph Farah’s name has found what amounts to only his wikipage on fb. An entry about him not his actual fb page – although it does say something about the likelihood of any bet being respected :

Despite the release of Obama’s notarized birth certificate abstract, Farah demanded that Obama release his “long-form” birth certificate, which was subsequently posted on the White House’s web site on April 27, 2011. Farah had previously pledged $15,000 to the hospital where Obama was born upon the release of said document. When Obama finally released the long-form birth certificate, he called it “fraudulent,” and disowned the pledge.

Exactly how Farah could declare Obama actually stepping down and rejoining private life “fraudulent” is a puzzle but still expect he’d find some pitiful excuse to weasel out.

Hopefully someone with better google (Fb?) -fu than me may have better luck here? I second your request above. Also the rewording of the bet by Ed from “wins” to “loses” obviously!
