James: LGBT Equality ‘Is Going to Kill America’

Craig James, the former football star and commentator turned hate group employee and public bigot, is very upset that Texas didn’t pass a totally pointless bill that they falsely think would have stopped gay marriage even if the Supreme Court ruled in its favor. And it’s going to kill America, don’t you know.

Family Research Council official Craig James guest-hosted the organization’s “Washington Watch” program yesterday, where he chatted with Texas conservative activist Jonathan Saenz about how an anti-gay bill failed in Texas legislature in part due to opposition from the Texas Association of Business.

James criticized the business group, claiming that the fight over the legislation “highlights how fearful business owners are of the blowback from the LGBT community and from folks who feel like we should be all tolerant and loving and accepting of everything.”

James, who works for one of the nation’s most virulently anti-LGBT groups, whose leaders (including James) have described gays rights as a tool of the Devil, defended Uganda’s kill-the-gays bill, called for an anti-gay revolution and urged the government to export gay people from the country, told Saenz that the LGBT community needs to show more civility or America will be lost.

“It’s the one-way street that is going to kill America,” James said. “This country has had a two-lane highway forever, both sides had the freedom to believe. Civility is gone. We’re haters if we think otherwise. What’s wrong with this country?”

I can answer that: We have far too many hateful bigots like you. See how easy that was?

I did not read the post, but I am outraged that Lebron or the King of Queens would say something like this!!

This country has had a two-lane highway forever, both sides had the freedom to believe. Civility is gone. We’re haters if we think otherwise.

Two way road? Yep. You can call gays tools of the devil, support laws oppressive of gays, call for an “anti-gay revolution” and want to exclude gays from America … and we get to call you bigots and haters.

    …called for an anti-gay revolution…

When the Founding Fathers (disguised as Indians [and a construction worker, a cop and a biker]) poured all the glitter in to San Francisco bay?

…and only people in the left lane were put in jail for driving that direction.

” We’re haters”, didn’t really need the rest of the sentence.

Priceless Xtian logic, consistency, and tolerance is Priceless!

So the LGBT community has the power to destroy America just by being rude?!

Good Dog… imagine what they could do if they were to use *sarcasm*!

What is it about declining to be a participant in a gay wedding that makes a Christian a “hateful bigot”?

Why can’t the gay couple respect the Christian’s beliefs, and go to the bakery down the street?

Why destroy someone’s livelihood over such a matter?

I knew the Texas Association of Business had a good reason to oppose the anti-gay legislation. Fear. Fear The Gay. And that my friends would be a good name for a Christian rock band.

theDukedog7: Again? Why don’t you go back and reread some of the other threads where this was beaten to death.

You know it’s rather interesting. A couple of decades ago, Apple Computer was contemplating opening a facility in Austin, Tx. but was turned off by laws in that state preventing corporations from extending benefits to same sex couples. Michael Dell lobbied the legislature to rescind those laws as the facility proposed by Apple would bring hundreds of good jobs to the Austin area. Since Dell is a competitor to Apple, he was hardly advocating something that would benefit his company, at least on the surface.

Poor ol’ puppy-dog – thinks ‘politely declining to participate in a gay wedding’ is what James is doing. Forgot to read this bit, did we Dog?

“James, who works for one of the nation’s most virulently anti-LGBT groups, whose leaders (including James) have described gays rights as a tool of the Devil, defended Uganda’s kill-the-gays bill, called for an anti-gay revolution and urged the government to export gay people from the country, told Saenz that the LGBT community needs to show more civility or America will be lost.”

Ah the faux-civility of the anti-gay bigot!

As for bakeries: again, I’d suggest researching the meaning of the legal term ‘public accommodation‘.
