Reconstructionist Pastor Also a Holocaust Denier

Would it surprise you to find out that Steven Anderson, the Christian Reconstructionist pastor from Arizona who wants all gay people stoned to death, is also a Holocaust denier? It shouldn’t. The extreme far right in this country has long been deeply anti-Jewish.

Well, he has a ready supply of rocks for stoning … in his head.

“The extreme far right in this country has long been deeply anti-Jewish.”

Isn’t being ‘deeply anti-Jewish’ kind of shibboleth for identifying the right-wing?

    True.

A frequent claim is that the Jews brought the Holocaust on themselves and deserved it. Because they killed god in his jesus meat suit.

Of course, in the usual incoherent way of xians, they ignore that god isn’t actually dead. He is supposedly the most powerful being in the universe he made himself. And it was the Romans who killed meat suit god.

And oh yeah, the Jews and Romans living today didn’t kill god. Spending 2,000 years blaming the current children for the actions of their distant ancestors is immoral. You could blame me for what the Vikings did to Europe using the same nonlogic or the extinction of the Neanderthals.

If it’s not in the Wholly Babble, they deny it.

    Fundie xianity leads to polykookery…

I once tried polykookery, but my parrot never got my jokes.

I tried to watch the whole video, but the blood from my ears was staining my couch.

Some Christians don’t seem to get it that the bible verse about “all men shall hate you” wasn’t a commandment to go out and make it happen. I think this guy is taking the conservative tendency to be for whatever pisses off the liberals the most to a pathological extreme.

  • dingojack

Eric – I tried ‘polykookery’ too.

The meals were great, but it was washing all those pots that finally put me off it.

    .

According to their myth, Pontius Pilate said that Jesus had broken no Roman laws, and was not considered a criminal by Rome. He washed his hands of the affair, and gave the accused back to the Jewish accusers. (Although he did hang a sign around his neck saying “King of the Jews”, perhaps to tweak the nose of the priests. ) But it was not all the Jews of course – nor the present ones – only the then-current and local priests and judges. Jesus was challenging the local power structure in the Jewish community. Might as well blame an Anglo-American for Prince John’s mistreatment of Robin Hood.

@3: What the heck does “meat suit god” mean? Are you confusing Jesus with Lady Gaga (lol)?

  • dingojack

Dan – ‘god‘ in ‘a meat suit‘.

*Sheesh* you really suck at your specialist subject, bone-headed literalism!
