WND’s Favorite Wingnuts Respond to Marriage Ruling

I‘ve reached the point where, when something like the marriage ruling happens, I can’t wait to see how the Worldnetdaily “reports” on it. After Friday’s ruling legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, they rounded up their favorite end times ranters — the ones they publish books for, of course — and asked their opinions. They did not disappoint.

“A totally unbelievable decision yet totally believable for our society as we are definitely in the swirly mode headed down the toilet,” said Pastor Mark Biltz, author of “Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs.” “The Bible says as it was in the days of Lot so will it be when the Messiah comes. The sewer floodgates are opening for all filth to come pouring in.

“The very fabric of what makes up a moral society is being ripped apart. As a nation we are becoming more and more narcissistic.”

Narcissistic. Like, say, thinking that your beliefs about what God demands should be what determines what is legal for everyone else? That kind of narcissistic?

Carl Gallups, whose recently published book, “Final Warning: Understanding the Trumpet Days of Revelation,” speaks of chaos enveloping the earth in the last days before the return of Christ, told WND that the saddest part of today’s ruling is how it will affect thousands of American children.

Gallups said it would be hard to overstate the impact of a ruling like this.

“This is the most monumental ruling of any court, by any nation in the history of the world,” Gallups said. “The spiritual and world-reaching ramifications will be prolific and devastating.”

Yes, the most important ruling in the history of ever anything! Dred Scott? Pfft. Desegregation? A trifling at most. This one ruling that bothers you but has nothing whatsoever to do with you, that’s the most important one EVER.

“We have now created a culture in which our smallest children, especially those in the government schools, will be taught under authority of federal law that two men or two women constitute a ‘normal,’ ‘natural,’ and ‘legal’ marriage, home, and family,” he said.

Yeah, how tragic. Kids will be taught that gay people aren’t second class citizens out to destroy everything good and right but are actual human beings whose families and lives matter. The only people who would be bothered by this bigots like you.

I can’t wait for them to all follow Joe Pornstache’s lead and leave the country.

What? Joe’s not leaving? … rats!

  • dingojack

Well of course Pornstache’s not leaving — he wants to be either dead or in jail in a year* – just like Teddy Nugent.

Man, I wish we could drive it through their thick skulls: Your church rules apply to you and the members of your church only. Not to anyone else, not even other Christians, but certainly not to American citizens of other religions or of no religion. You don’t get to use the “big stick” of government to beat everyone into submitting to your interpretation of the Bible. This is America… land of the free… get used to it!

Which is a good thing just as equal marriage will join equal parenting as a clearly good thing for the kids :

Pastor Mark Biltz, author of “Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs.”

Er, wait, wasn’t that crap all based on those eclipses that came and went, and nothing happened? If so, shouldn’t these words from Ezekiel apply:

13 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord! 3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish[a] prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! 4 Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. 5 You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord. 6 Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say, “The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words. 7 Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, “The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken?

8 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord. 9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.

Narcissistic indeed. Why, it’s only a matter of time before the supreme court legalizes self-marriage too. That’s going to destroy a lot of christian marriages, gosh darn it.

Seen in this context — which I think is surely the right way to see it — the “narcissistic” comment makes a kind of sense. I.e., to them, male/female marriage is a duty that exists to produce children — a duty to society, family and god — and by opting out of that, in any way, you’re being selfish. Of course I think this is completely wrong-headed, but I can at least understand it now.
