Pakistan Govt paid $1.8 mn to journalists from Secret Government Fund

As much as the Pakistani journalists keep asserting their freedom, and keep accusing Indian Journalists of toeing the Indian Government line, the truth was that Pakistan media people would stand right alongside whatever lie or latest "controversy theory" that the Government would dish out.  So there was always a sneaking suspicion that there was a collusion between the Government and Journalists.  Now, due to a case in the Supreme Court by two journalists, Government has had to lay bare the … [Read more...]

The Boston bombing suspects engaged in a deadly firefight with police last week, possessing six bombs, handguns, a rifle and more than 250 rounds of ammunition. … [Read more...]

Is the concern over US Debt paranoia and are we creating permanent unemployment?

To place a lot of importance to the debt that the US has accumulated is to ignore the other strengths from which the US comes to table with.  The impact of debt in case of US specifically is the sum total of its economic, military and political clout.  Fortunately for the US, and unfortunately for the world, debt is not the only thing that plays a role in the debt-dynamics between US and the world.  We saw that in the 1980s as well, when Dollar was the currency for Oil Trade despite an … [Read more...]

The Jehad over “Jehad”: CAIRs “My Jehad” campaign and its counter by Pam Geller

A few months back, Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR) started a "My Jihad" campaign that aimed to "legitimize" the word Jihad and also somehow take away the "stigma" from what is happening in the Islamic world.  The idea is to deceive the Americans as opposed to establishing their version of Jehad in the Islamic minds. The ads took ordinary life situations - that in the first place DO NOT require any deep introspection - for example, "befriending non-Muslims", doing exercise, doing … [Read more...]
