Just Keep Going

I like to take walks at night now that it's warm outside and sit and have a cigarette on the handicapped swing at the park across the street from me. The dog sits next to me, and I look at the moon, which is mostly full, as the park lights go off, one section at a time. Our dishwasher died last week. It had served us well for seven years, even having lived a whole other life with another family before we even met it. I tried to move the kids towards clearing the table, and brushing their teeth for bed, but no one moved.
