WWUTT Slider FINAL

“Jesus is between 5’11” and about 6’1”. He’s taller than I thought He was… And He put His hand on this shoulder and He looked at me. He said, ‘Go tell my people I’m coming.’”

– Jesse Duplantis on the time he spoke with Jesus in heaven.

“I stood there, and I was at the Lord’s left hand – and this was not a dream, it was as real as life here – and He said, ‘Young man!’”

-Mike Bickle, International House of Prayer, on his heavenly visit and talk with Jesus.

“I can feel Him like He’s walking up to me across the room and just tapping me on the shoulder, ‘Kim.’ And I’m standing with Jesus, and I see God the Father in front of me.”

-Kim Walker-Smith on the time Jesus visited her during prayer to answer her questions

There are teachers who will claim to have had a face-to-face conversation with God, Himself. But, it’s a lie. How can we know that? For lots of reasons:

No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. (John 1:18)

But you may not look directly at my face, for no one may see me and live. (Exodus 33:20)

…and he [Manoah] said to his wife, “We will certainly die, for we have seen God!” (Judges 13:22)

It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his glory!”

Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.

Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.” (Isaiah 6:1-7)

Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down?
Who holds the wind in his fists?
Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak?
Who has created the whole wide world?
What is his name—and his son’s name?
Tell me if you know! (Proverbs 30:40)

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. (Revelation 1:17)

If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is.  From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”

Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? (John 14:7-9)

So I got up and went, and there I saw the glory of the Lord, just as I had seen in my first vision by the Kebar River. And I fell face down on the ground. (Ezekiel 3:23)

Not that anyone has ever seen the Father; only I, who was sent from God, have seen him. (John 6:46)

If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? (1 John 4:20)

In short, Jesus warned that false teachers would claim such things:

“If anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.

So if they say to you, ‘Look He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:23-27)

The next appearance of Christ will be seen by the whole world, not a select few in secret.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God…” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

Joseph Smith claimed that God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and said that the church and “all their creeds were and abomination in His sight; that those professors were all corrupt…”

(Pearl of Great Price

Joseph Smith – History

Chapter 1:17-20)

So, Smith started his own church – the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormon Church) – which is full of destructive heresies.

He was a charlatan. And so is every modern day false prophet claiming to have had a personal audience with God.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times, some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared… (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

We will hear, in their teachings, many other lies…when we understand the Text.
