Hello Rumi Tuesday! Why do you stay in prison? February 28, 2017

Hello Rumi Tuesday

Gate opening to endless road leading nowhere

Why do you stay in

Prison

When the door is so

Wide Open?

by Jalal id-din Rumi
translated by Coleman Barks.

Do you ever feel like you’re living in a

self-imposed prison?

What if you could just snap your fingers

and wake up.

“Wait a minute. This is not real.”

And then step outside of yourself and be free.

There is no prison. You are free!

There is only One.

Anything else is illusion.

You are never separate from

the Essence of the One.
