My Radio Show Interview on Was Jesus White?

Last week I was featured in an on-line Radio Show, Real Talk with MVP, based in Atlanta where I had  a ten minute chat with Marcus about, “Was Jesus White?”

Good fun, a few laughs, and talking about ideas on Jesus, race, ethnicity, and artistic license.

I would sum it up as follows: Some people seem to have a stereo-typical idea of a white middle class Jesus rather than an Aramaic-speaking middle eastern Jesus!

You can listen to the talk here, interview starts at about 20:15 and ends around 31:30.

While you’re clearing up the widespread confusion about Yeshiva’s ethnic identity, maybe you should also start calling him by his actual name, instead of a westernized, anglicized name. Your God says to you, “This is my ‘son’, Yeshiva”, and you effectively reply, “That’s great! We’ll just call him ‘Jesus’, or ‘haysus’…”

And if ‘Yeshiva’ is not the correct pronunciation, then find the correct one and use it.
