How To Tell If You Have a Blogging Problem

How To Tell If You Have a Blogging Problem November 26, 2010

There are a lot of web sites that help you figure out if you have a drinking problem. But there don’t seem to be any that help you figure out if you have a blogging problem. Fortunately, all that is needed is to copy from a site about alcohol addiction, and use find and replace to make it address blogging addiction.

Two examples follow. The first comes from this site, aimed at students:

Do you lose time from classes due to blogging?

Do you blog because you are uncomfortable in social situations?

Do you blog to build up your self confidence?

Is blogging affecting your relationships with friends?

Do you blog alone?

Do you blog to escape from studies or home worries?

Do you feel guilty or depressed after blogging?

Does it bother you if someone says that maybe you blog too much?

Do you have to blog when you go out on a date?

Do you get along better with other people when you blog?

Do you feel more important when you blog?

Have you lost friends since you started blogging?

Do you blog more than most of your friends?

Have you started hanging around with a crowd that blogs more than your old friends?

Do you blog until you just couldn’t blog anymore?

Have you ever had a complete loss of memory from blogging?

Have you ever been to a hospital or been arrested due to blogging behavior?

Do you turn off to any studies or lectures about blogging?

If you answered yes to some of these questions, you have some of the symptoms that indicate a problem with blogging. Remember, there is no intelligent reason to deny that you have a health problem. If you think you do have a problem, the most important thing is to do something about it!

The second is from About.com:

•Have you ever felt you should cut down on your blogging?

•Have people annoyed you by criticizing your blogging?

•Have you ever felt bad or guilty about your blogging?

•Have you ever blogged first thing in the morning to steady your nerves?
