Blogroll

I’m not sure how useful blogrolls are these days, when the sheer number of blogs we read has grown to the point that a list of all of them is probably not going to be that useful to anyone else. As you’ll see from the sidebar, I share links through Google Reader to specific posts that I have liked, but didn’t have the time or opportunity to, or didn’t feel it appropriate or necessary to, share in a blog post.

Not the blog roll I have in mind

That said, I still think that this blog should have a blogroll, and I suspect that the blogroll at my old blog site includes some that have gone defunct.

So I am inviting readers to recommend blogs for the blogroll. If you are a regular reader, even if your blog has nothing to do with subjects that I usually blog about, tell me about your blog in a comment, and I’ll include you. If there are too many, I’ll make it a separate page rather than a sidebar item.

So please do tell me about your blog, but do also mention other blogs that you think ought to be included in the new, and hopefully improved, Exploring Our Matrix blogroll.

Well, since you recommended your own blog to me, perhaps I can recommend my own Gentle Wisdom. I could also suggest Better Bibles Blog, at which I am an occasional contributor.

Shameless plug for Bold Faith Type (http://blog.faithinpubliclife.org/), which I believe you’ve linked to in the past.

    P.S. Like the new site!

I would humbly note that I receive a fair amount of traffic from your well-established blog. Sects and Violence would like to be included…

My blog, Somewhat Abnormal, is about philosophy, science, and religion. Recently it’s been mostly the philosophy of morality, but the topics are always changing. Link:

In addition to my blog, “The Piety that Lies Between” (www.thepietythatliesbetween.blogspot.com) and others that I’m sure you’ll remember to transfer over to the blogroll on the new site (“I Think I Believe,” “Undeception,” etc.), I’d recommend that you add Robin Parry’s “Theological Scribbles” if you haven’t already done so.

Well … I regularly stop by and covet a spot for our blog (ancienthebrewgrammar.wordpress.com) but I also recognize that it’s pretty esoteric (and boring for most).
I would be thrilled to see it in your blogroll but understanding if it wasn’t.

I certainly don’t have any blogs myself, but I have always enjoyed skimming your blogroll. I will continue to do so, as long as you don’t link to Jim West. ;-)

James, I will simply as that you readd mine to your list —

http://pastorbobcornwall.blogspot.com or Ponderings on a Faith Journey. Here you will find the thoughts of a Disciples pastor, author, and church historian wrestle with issues old and new, theological and “secular!

I tend to blog about philosophy and biblical studies in equal measures depending on what I am reading at the time. There is also other stuff that I find interesting. I can’t afford college at the moment though, so for now it is a laymans perspective.

For a divergent, yet respectful, perspective on spiritual matters (chasing the historical Jesus, among them) from a shamanic explorer, failed Rapture hopeful and uncredentialed riff-raff…

I have resurrected a short blogroll at http://meafar.blogspot.com/ We have interacted quite a bit in the past and I appreciate that your interest in violin music is similar to mine since we both have children in it. When I recently posted the Beethoven benedictus I thought your youngster might want to know this piece for violin solo.

I have created a blogroll and you are all on it. It is a separate page among the tabs at the top.

Please reciprocate by updating your blogrolls so that the link to Exploring Our Matrix comes to its present location on Patheos. Thanks!
