BibleWorks Birthday Contest Winners

BibleWorks has announced the winners of its birthday contest. Click through to see the winning entries, and some of the others, some of which are among my favorites. Mike Bird has posted some of his favorites over on his blog.

In related news, I’ll be offering a detailed blog review of BibleWorks 9 here at Exploring Our Matrix very soon!

James, I’m just curious–I note on many academic blogs an appreciation for BW (where Logos bible software is not mentioned very frequently). Is there a sense in your academic circles that BW is much better so that Logos is not really taken seriously? I know from conversations with a good friend who teaches Greek that for languages BW is preferable. Just wondering if you had a sense of how Logos is faring in academic circles where you are.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I don’t have a real sense that Logos is doing less well. And I’ve found its offerings for the iPad app of the SBL Greek NT and a range of classical literature to be wonderful. So I have found some technical hiccups but have not really found any reason to not take Logos seriously in terms of what it offers. I just have some frustrations related to availability of content when offline, no other qualms.

        Thanks James
