The Only True God for Kindle – Only $15.09!

There is a paperback edition of my book The Only True God: Early Christian Monotheism in Its Jewish Context which continues to sell less well than the more expensive hardcover edition, at least on Amazon.com. I am not sure why that is the case.

Meanwhile, the Kindle edition is on sale for only just over $15 on Amazon.com, and so I thought I should mention it!

they are not linked, if you look at the paperback it does not have the hardcover and kindle as alternate editions. something is not right in the database. that could be why the paperback doesn’t sell, people can’t find it.

Thanks. I have seen that but hoped that it would turn out to be a temporary problem. I have reminded the publisher to get Amazon to fix that.

In addition to Christopher’s observation, I wonder if the fact that the hardcover is only $9 more might account for part of its popularity over the paperback? Also, the hardcover is of a fine quality, e.g. it actually has sewn signatures, which is much less common than it used to be, though admittedly not uncommon for academic books, of course.

Interesting that the hardcover is more popular. Perhaps that means there are more people like me out there, who always prefer a hardcover when it’s available and when it’s not an exhorbitant price.
