    Quibble. Tillich’s understanding of symbol is other than you say here. Signs point to things they don’t participate in, like the finger pointing to the moon. Symbols, on the other hand, participate in that to which they point.

      Good point! The song makes no attempt to be rigidly Tillichian in every detail, even though his writings are clearly the main source of inspiration. But if I think of a way to reword it to be more in keeping with his terminology at that point I may revise it! Thank you for the feedback and input!

    Good stuff. But if you were in your 20′s in the 60′s, and wanted to sell, do as Sonny did. Get a Cher to team up with. Then success.
