The conversion of Saul may be one of the best-known stories in the book of Acts, but it couldn’t stop A.D. The Bible Continues from slipping to new lows in the ratings.

Last night’s episode — which featured Saul’s dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus — scored a 0.7 rating in the key 18-49 demographic (down from 0.8 last week), and it had only 4.3 million viewers overall (down from 4.8 million last week and the previous all-time low of 4.5 million the week before).

The series had 9.5 million viewers when it premiered seven weeks ago and it has been shedding viewers ever since (except for a slight increase last week). Its predecessor, The Bible, got between 10 and 13 million viewers per episode two years ago.

Notably, The Bible was shown on the History Channel, while A.D. The Bible Continues is airing on NBC, a Big Three network with a much wider potential audience.

As usual, the network has released a few new clips since last night’s broadcast, though no substantial previews of next week’s episode — yet. Instead, we have:

Check out earlier trailers and other videos here (though be warned: it appears that the network has taken some of the trailers and clips offline already):
