Watch: Joe Dante on The Private Lives of Adam and Eve, a movie that features Mickey Rooney in a giant snake costume February 9, 2016

We’re all about the Bible movies here at FilmChat, but there are plenty of films within the genre that we haven’t seen yet. Case in point: The Private Lives of Adam and Eve, a sexploitation flick co-directed by Mickey Rooney and Albert Zugsmith in 1960.

I don’t think I’ll be making time to see this movie any time soon, but Joe Dante, director of Gremlins and curator of the Trailers From Hell website, posted a new video recently in which he discusses the film. Watch it here, if you’re curious:

The film — which, as you can see, stars Rooney as the Devil and Mamie Van Doren as Eve, and also co-stars Mel Tormé, Tuesday Weld and Paul Anka — isn’t too hard to find online, but I’ll refrain from posting it here until I’ve had a chance to vet it.

Which, like I say, probably won’t be any time soon.
