Three quick items about TV shows with a religious hook that are now in development.

1. Queen Latifah is partnering with producer Holly Carter and writer Michael Elliott to develop The Scroll, a Fox series that “will reimagine some of the Bible’s most popular stories in present day through a group of friends and colleagues that are modern-day versions of some of the Bible’s most notable characters.” Latifah co-starred in last year’s “faith-based” hit Miracles from Heaven (pictured above). — Deadline

2. CBS has ordered a pilot for Living Biblically, the long-gestating adaptation of A.J. Jacobs’ book The Year of Living Biblically. The series was originally going to be a single-camera comedy but is now a multi-camera sitcom. — Variety, Deadline

3. ABC has ordered a pilot for The Gospel of Kevin, which will be about “a down-on-his-luck man who is tasked by God with a mission to save the world.” The “light” series is being produced by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters. — Deadline
