Belated thanks to TCU’s Reel Religion Film Festival

This post is a little late, but my life has been so busy this past week — hosting one birthday party, planning another, dealing with school cancellations and the like, etc. — that I haven’t had a chance to sit down and write, until now. Anyway. A week and a half ago, I had the great privilege of speaking at the Reel Religion Film Festival hosted by Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. I was one of two guests at their 10th anniversary dinner — the other being actor Drew Powell — and I got to lead the discussion after a screening of The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985), one of my favorite films of all time. Everyone I met was incredibly hospitable and it was, all told, one of my more enjoyable trips out of the country. Many thanks to everyone involved.
