UPDATED: CNN cuts ties with Donna Brazile – Hillary Clinton was fed a question before a CNN Town Hall and even the liberal media is upset October 19, 2016

UPDATE:

CNN says it is “completely uncomfortable” with hacked emails showing former contributor and interim DNC chair Donna Brazile sharing questions with the Clinton campaign before a debate and a town hall during the Democratic primary, and has accepted her resignation.

Hacked emails posted by WikiLeaks show Brazile, whose CNN contract was suspended when she became interim DNC chair over the summer, sharing with the Clinton campaign a question that would be posed to Hillary Clinton before the March CNN Democratic debate in Flint, and sharing with the campaign a possible question prior to a CNN town hall also in March.

In a statement, CNN spokeswoman Lauren Pratapas said that on Oct. 14, the network accepted Brazile’s resignation.

“On October 14th, CNN accepted Donna Brazile’s resignation as a CNN contributor. (Her deal had previously been suspended in July when she became the interim head of the DNC.) CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate. We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor,” Pratapas said.

ORIGINAL POST:

Wikileaks is the gift that keeps on giving, and it continues to expose how much collusion there is between the media and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

In one of the latest hacked e-mail chains of Clinton campaign chief John Podesta, we learned that former CNN correspondent and current DNC chair Donna Brazile gave Mrs. Clinton one question ahead of a town hall hosted by the cable network — a no-no to anyone dedicated to a free press as outlined by the Constitution.

Since the news broke, CNN State of the Union host Jake Tapper has expressed how upset he is at this revelation. He spoke with Larry O’Connor on WMAL’s morning show:

“It’s a very, very troubling… look, I have tremendous regard for Donna Brazile. She’s a good person and a nice person and I like her a lot but whatever took place here… and I know I had nothing to do with it… and I know CNN, we were so closely guarding our documents… they weren’t emailed around…

“It’s horrifying.  Journalistically it’s horrifying and I’m sure it will have an impact on partnering with this organization in the future and I’m sure it will have and effect on… Donna Brazile is no longer with CNN because she’s with the DNC right now, but I’m sure it will have some impact on Donna Brazille…

“People at CNN take this very, very seriously and to have somebody who does not take it seriously and to have us partner with that person and then they do something completely unethical and share it with Donna Brazile who then shares it with the Clinton campaign… it’s horrifying and very, very upsetting and I can’t condemn it any more than… I condemn it in no uncertain terms, it’s awful.”

Tapper was one of the moderators for the CNN Town Hall, along with Roland Martin. The question Martin asked regarding Clinton’s stance on the death penalty was one that Brazile said in her e-mail to Podesta concerned her and that’s why she forwarded it to the campaign. Martin’s wording was nearly verbatim to the question sent via e-mail. It is believed that Martin shared the question with Brazile before the broadcast. At least, Tapper seems to think so.

“My understanding is the email to Donna came from either Roland Martin or someone around Roland Martin,” he said on the radio program.

Martin, of course, denies any wrongdoing.

I’ll defer to Instapundit for the last word:

The same Roland Martin who used to be Rev. Wright’s man at CNN? Inconceivable!

The same CNN that’s become notorious for its many plants at debates and town halls? Equally inconceivable!

The very notion of Hillary being fed questions before a major TV appearance? Absolutely inconceivable!
