McDonald’s just tweeted out an Anti-Trump/Pro-Obama message… but why?

This morning a very strange message was tweeted out from America’s fast food favorite.  According to PJ Media:

At 9:16 a.m. Eastern on Thursday, the McDonald’s corporate Twitter account released an explosive message — shortly before deleting it. But don’t worry, once on the Internet, always on the Internet.

“@realDonaldTrump you are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have @BarackObama back, also you have tiny hands,” the account tweeted.

Thankfully, someone took a screenshot and now it’s really flying all over the internet:

Was this a way that their social media coordinator decided to quit their job Jerry MaGuire-style?  McDonald’s did respond with this vague tweet:

Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.

Though people are already calling for a boycott of the Golden Arches, surely this was just a mistake… but it sure is making me hungry.  We’ll see if there are any other ramifications!
