Yeah, I understand.
I suppose all religions have this flaw that all start with a good intent but the intent is soon forgotten and gets immersed under a pile of rubbish generated out of stagnation.
However, we atheists, should thank both Mahavira and Gauthama for their bold deviations from the god-based religion to an ethic-based religion almost 2500 years back.
And when I find people of today finding it so difficult to reject the god-based religions in order to adapt more Value Based Religion I really appreciate the work of Mahavira and Gauthama and also the people who accepted, understood and followed them in that ancient past in the oriental world.
I also doubt, there might have been a few like them in the western world too, but they might have been crucified without even leaving a trace...

Rational_Human-- Thanks for the comment. You're right that Jainism has no creator God. However, there is still a large amount of supernatural beliefs (reincarnation, becoming a deity, prayer) that I didn't agree with, which is why I couldn't call myself a Jain anymore. Hope that answers your question.

Hi, Hemant,
I am from India.
I thought Jainism itself is atheistic like Buddhism.
What did you find in Jainism which needed rejection by an atheist like you?

Hey!

I had no idea you were writing a book (I've been gone for a year in Europe, which puts you out of touch with pretty much all news) but I'm super happy for you! I'm definitely pre-ordering my copy.

Good luck!
