You know how when you see those Christian-themed bumper stickers, you cry a single tear, shake your head, and continue to drive?

Blair Scott’s atheist-themed bumper sticker led to a different reaction. He got a note attached to his windshield.

You’re going to hell and you’re going to burn in a lake of fire.

Another example of that Christian love I hear so much about…?

This is your last chance to enter the Secular Coalition for America’s “Find an Atheist, Humanist, Freethinker Elected Official” contest! Deadline is tomorrow!

The 2006 Darwin Awards voting is coming to a close. We will soon “commemorate those who improve our gene pool by removing themselves from it.”

Follow VJack’s advice and donate to an atheist cause before the end of the year!

*ahem* The Secular Student Alliance is a wonderful cause. Donations are appreciated.

I’m curious exactly which sticker he had. I am glad to say that it has been one year since I added the evolve emblem to my car and not one negative comment. I’m also a pretty courteous driver so that helps from seeing the bird.

Dude, you live in Austin. There are a lot weirder bumper stickers there than an “evolve” emblem. I’ll bet no one even notices yours. :)

Mike, kind of. I actually live in Round Rock….Williamson county. There is a big line at the Travis/Williamson county marker. There hasn’t been a democrat elected in more than a decade and all single slot running officials for a seat are Republicans. I realize in Austin that it’s no big deal but to be honest, I have never seen another evolve/darwin emblem or sticker on a regular basis around here. I see about 5% of the cars with some type of fish or cross regularly. I do remember stopping at a light at Parmer and 620 and I could read the lady behind me lips. She said “evolve?” and the other girl just had a puzzled look like they had no idea what it was. Either way I’m glad it’s no big deal and that I haven’t been bothered about it.
