Bookslut Reading Series

Hey, Chicago people that are 21 and older!

This Wednesday night (Feb. 21) at 7:30pm, TiVo American Idol and come to the second floor of Hopleaf Bar at 5148 N. Clark.

The Bookslut Reading Series is bringing some great writers to town. You will be able to listen to and meet:

Should be fun. I’m going. Which should make this all the more enticing for you :)

On a side note, a friend from Oregon helped bring Chris Mooney to her school last year. After his lecture, she told him about how I “sold my soul on eBay” and asked if he would sign his book for me.

His message: “To Hemant, I sold mine too!”

I’d sell my soul, but I don’t think it’s worth anything.

We played a lot of cards during highschool, mostly euchre, and just on a whim we started gambling for peoples’ souls. I never lost mine but my friend lost his for almost a year. Of course, he was the most religious one so it bothered him the most.
