I Could Use Your Help!

I already asked this blog’s readers if they would be interested in reading the book (and then reviewing it). And the response was terrific.

So let me ask one more thing: Even if you’re not connected with the particular website or show, where do you think I Sold My Soul on eBay could be pitched?

No answer is meaningless. The morning news shows, late night talk shows, and the like are already on the list. But if you have specifics– shows you listen to, websites you read, a local newspaper– please let me know in the comments, and I’ll make sure the people are contacted! Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Point of Inquiry is CFI’s excellent podcast interview program:

They interview lots of authors about their books, and they often cover the intersection of religion and secular society.

By the way, I’ll see you at the American Atheist Convention in Seattle.

I don’t know whether this was suggested, but you should go on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. That would be so awesome.

PS: Great site. I read it daily!

That’s actually a really great idea. I don’t know how you go about swinging something like that, but your story seems like just the kind of thing that they’d go for. You should suggest it to your publisher and see what they can do.

Try salon.com. They often review books.

We have pitched the book to the Comedy Central shows (Daily Show and Colbert Report). And I sit in the fetal position awaiting their reply.

I think Colbert would be better. It could be a lot of fun.

Yeah, but you gotta be on the top of your game to match wits with Colbert. His interviews are so fast-paced, and confusing since he usually says the opposite of what he really thinks.

    But it’d definitely be fun.

You know how Kirk Cameron and that Australian guy accost passersby on the Third Street Promenade and convince them they’re going to hell if they don’t See the Light? I think it would be fun to walk the Promenade myself, wearing only a bikini and a sandwich board announcing “I Sold My Soul on eBay!”

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has an excellent “Faith and Values” section that would probably jump right on it:

Andy– I’m on top of it. Thanks for the info!
