This reminds me of that spoof on Freethought Radio Network borrowed from the infidels.net, I think, called "Life in Anti-Christian America. I can't quote it, but if you ever listen to internet radio station you can hear it.

IMHO, Christians would be a lot better off if we really were persecuted. Then it might mean something to be a Christian again. That we are not simply means that we have become too seduced by power and influence to really follow the radical way of love that Jesus preached.

The thing is, Christians are supposed to rejoice when they are persecuted. They are not supposed to whine and complain and use it for political gain. In the Beatitudes, Jesus said, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you."

The Christianists do not follow Jesus's teachings, no matter how you slice it. If Jesus came back today, he would spit in their faces.

The Romans once referred to Christians as 'atheists'. Maybe it's a genetic flashback?

Isn't that because oppression is "built-in" to the religion at it's core? As ridiculous as their claim is, from their point of view any opposition is considered oppression right? lol
