Well actually, I would go for Diana Ross, Cher, Donna Summer, Barbra Streisand, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, BTO, KC and the Sunshine Band, BOC, Commadores, and alike. However, I know my younger son is not into that type of music.

I know how you feel, mriana. They don’t make music like they used to. Why can’t they make pretty music? I mean, like “Heroin” by the Velvets, that was a pretty song. Or “They Saved Hitler’s Cock” by the Angry Samoans, or “Too Drunk To Fuck” by the Dead Kennedys, or (best of all) “Bar B Q Pope” by the Butthole Surfers. They don’t make them like that any more. It’s all just a bunch of damn noise.

Greydon is cute, though, as far as I can tell in the shadow there. Not terribly bright, it seems, but cute. He shoulda pushed that white boy in the pool, though. “We’re all brothers and sisters in the same cause,” eh? And as the jailer said to Bertrand Russell on learning that Russell was an agnostic, there are many religions in the world, but they all believe in the same god. (Cthulhu.)

Got his album a couple of months ago and love it. But I think the “Black Carl Sagan” distinction really should go to Neal deGrasse Tyson.

Nah, just making him buy his own music and making suggestions to him. IF I were controlling it, I’d be taking every rap CD away that he brings into this house.

Cool. I like Greydon Square a lot, and I think he’s a great draw for younger people and people of color. I saw a lot of hypocrisy and exploitation in black churches when I was a Christian, so I’d love to see more African-Americans adopting reason and jettisoning religion.
