That was ... interesting. It really sickens me how outrageous most "Christians" are. The shirt was priceless, though. ;-)

Mriana, some of those interviews looked like they were taking place in New York City. It also looked like at least a few of the New Yorkers were answering tongue in cheek, particularly the couple who suggested Jesus ought to appear on Letterman.

I knew those guys were joking, but the rest of them sounded nutty.

It seems to be a common thread, mostly among the religious, but other people too, that the world is somehow getting worse. I am not sure I agree.

The fundys and particularly the End Times Christians are constantly thumping on the "world is going to hell in a handbasket" theme.

If you think about it, they have to keep harping on that message. They depend on gaining membership by scaring people into their churches, and if they looked objectively at the world and saw that things have gotten a lot better over the past couple of centuries, they wouldn't have any stick to use on people. If things are getting better, then people don't need god so urgently.

You can see the prevalence of the new bogeyman they're using - radical Islam - in the immediate answers to that question. In my day, communism, the "new world order," something called the "Trilateral Commission" and Y2K were the scare tactics of the time.

Yeah, while it's not difficult to find stupid people, it is a bit misleading to only give them three very near-term options for when "Jesus" will return. The other problem with videos like this is we don't know how many people he talked to who were like, "in a thousand years," or, "that's all a load of shit."

OMG! How delusional can people get? Was that done in the Bible Thumping Belt? These guys were unbelievable, yet wackily (is that a word?) funny. Of course, my jaw dropped on some of the answers.

Oh yeah, if the Shrub gets his way the "nuclear Jesus bomb" will land in the Middle East, but not before decending out of the clouds. Of course some of them sound like they would love to hit the button to make it drop out of the sky and onto the Middle East.

20 bucks to see Jesus? Yeah, I mean, who wants to pay more to see one of the trio from the omnipotent, omniscient ruler of the universe? I mean, I'm sure most people would pay more to see Paul McCartney perform... even now!

Also, I think $20 to see Jesus speak is enough. Otherwise, I will just wait for the video on YouTube.
