You May Not Attend These Schools…

But it’s still good to know what a few non-religious college students are up to.

At Minnesota State University, Mankato, the Campus Atheists and Agnostics are hosting an Ask an Atheist event this Thursday evening:

I’d love to know what the religious students ask them…

If you had the chance, what questions would you ask these young atheists?

A little closer to my neck of the woods, Chris Olson, the president of the UIC Rationalists and Freethinkers (RAFT), is running for the position of Student Trustee on campus.

This position would put him on the University of Illinois Board of Trustees. The board ultimately makes the decisions that affect all the U of I campuses (such as tuition increases), so it’s a very important position to hold.

The election takes place today and tomorrow. I wish him the best of luck. It’s always great to see an atheist running for public office!

If you’re a high school or college atheist who is doing something worthwhile, please let me know!

As the President of the group in Mankato [and co-founder], I sincerely hope that this event goes well – we’ll see what happens. 🙂
