Funny how in some quotes they leave in the profanity, then in others they asterisk the word dick.

It’s like they’re torn between the desire to rile up their base, and stay prudes while doing it.

I bet that they are re-thinking their approach to this.

Hmmm…let’s see…how can we thwart this comedian who has made humorous though relevant comment over and over about religion…especially our religion? I know…let’s print each of his comments! And we will not make any commentary of our own, just a list of his.

I could not have found a better free list of Bill Maher anti-religion quotes than this. And just think, I got it from the Catholic League!! That makes it special. hehe.

I am sure the leaders at the Catholic League (do they play any Pac 10 teams?) are saying concerning the publishing of Maher’s material on their site…”New Rule…Do not publish anti-catholic and anti-religious material on our site to stand on it’s own. Because it will quite actually stand on it’s own.”

I am waiting for the Atheist Nexus to get the Catholic League to list this page.

While Maher professes to loathe all religions, his favorite target is the Catholic Church. Indeed, he rarely aims his venom at Islam or Judaism. And while he does enjoy taking shots at Evangelicals, it is clear that he is monomaniacal in his contempt for Catholicism. Below is a sampling of what he has said about the Church throughout his years in showbiz.

I saw the movie last at a special early screening in Scottsdale and I can assure you that Maher savages all religions (including Islam and Judaism) in that film. In fact, it is two Catholics (a Vatican astonomer and a priest he interviews outside the Vatican) who come off looking the least crazy in this movie. Maher was raised Catholic (his mother was Jewish), so of course he would be extra-sensitive to Catholicism’s particular brand of BS.
