I don't know how old I was. He told me that it really did happen. I don't remember if I was convinced right then and there, but I sure became convinced later. Then, happily, deconvinced much later. Good for her. I hope she always carries that self-assured skepticism and it doesn't get squashed by the forces of conformity that will inevitably surround her in this world.
