I suppose from bastion of Christianity to the recent troubles, Ireland has a long way to go to make itself secular. Good luck to the Irish Atheists. So, while the constitution itself is outdated in comparison with the secular one of the US, I'd expect less resistance to secularism from the Irish people than from the American one...
