Anti-Atheism Examiner?

Friendly Atheist contributor Trina Hoaks is the Atheism Examiner at the Examiner website.

Looks like she now has some sibling rivalry.

Ray Comfort has signed on as the Anti-Atheism Examiner. [UPDATE: His title has changed. He is now the Creationism Examiner.] He’s no longer writing on his old website.

Same old tripe. New location. He ends his inaugural posting with this:

Evolution certainly is a fairytale for grown-ups.

He gets paid by the pageview, so there’s no need to click on the site. It’s not like there’s a discussion worth having there.

    Looks like Ray just got changed from “Anti-atheist Examiner” to “Creationism Examiner.”

    LOL!

    I guess someone pointed out that atheists should get an Anti-Christian examiner, and that road led to problems.

    It seems like a car wreck. His normal fundie readers don’t like seeing ads for “The God who wasn’t there” and seeing Barack Obama, who is a secret muslim and anti-christ, doncha know.

    Plus the fun fact that the comments aren’t being censored by Ray, which is just fun!

    It’s a great way to drive off the Ray fans, who are abandoning him as a sell out!

    AWESOME!

    I clicked before I saw the warning not to. Doh!

    It seems that Ray thinks that an egg evolved on its own as a self-contained living organism. He then takes that absurdity and extends it to the point of celestial absurdity to make his final claim that evolution is a fairy tale for grownups.

    *sigh*

    This guy needs so much LESS press.

    I also clicked the link out of some kind of masochistic curiosity. He talks about the theory of how fish evolved to walk on land, “along with their female help mates”.

    Seriously, has no one yet explained to him that evolution occurs the same way and at the same time with both genders of a gendered species? Is this really a fundamental misunderstanding on Ray’s part, or is it some kind of deep-seated sexism that extends even to marine wildlife? Or, maybe both?

    Well, it seems to me if we click Ray’s page and he gets credit for it then the same thing would probably happen for Trina…
    May not be exactly taking money away from Comfort, but it’s supporting someone much more in line with my views.

    Ray is not ignorant. he has been presented the facts time and time and time again. He can’t claim that we don’t respond to his challenges – at least not honestly.

    I think it’s a case of him being emotionally, socially, and financially invested in his point of view that he refuses to accept anything that challenges it.

    So, he’s not stupid. He’s not ignorant. He’s a liar. Plain and simple.

    But it’s OK to lie. As long as it’s for Jesus.

    Hi, all. Trina here.

    Yes, Ray’s title has been changed. He was previously the “Anti-Atheism Examiner.” Well, many of my readers were displeased, to say the least, by this title.

    Admittedly, there is a distinction between “Anti-Atheist” and “Anti-Atheism.” However, many people were bothered, nonetheless. In light of this, I felt compelled to present the distress of my readers to my channel manager, who also happens to be Ray’s channel manager.

    Fortunately, my channel manager is a reasonable individual and can understand how that title seemingly carries with it certain negative connotation. Therefore, he promplty changed Ray’s title after he received my e-mail.

    So, yes, Ray is now the “Creationism Examiner.”

    “Ignorance-Whoring Tool Examiner.”
