It’s Kurtz who is a splitter, not a joiner. With his ouster from the CFI/CSH, can we expect that esteemed group to finally join the SCA?

Given their current internal troubles, it is probably unrealistic to hope that the Center for Inquiry will also – finally – join, right?

CFI has its own lobbying arm, the Office of Public Policy, and lobbyist, Toni Van Pelt, so it’s already on the lobbying bandwagon.

This is good news. All free thinkers must unite in opposition to the Christian right. There is a dangerous, militant strand of Christian Fundamentalism that must be opposed.

Yes.

Are they going to continue with their own Godless Americans PAC?

When Ellen Johnson left AA, she took the reins at GAMPAC (now called Enlighten the Vote). I don’t think it’s directly connected to AA anymore, but I don’t know for sure. A PAC is different from a lobbying organization, so it’s not redundant with SCA.

That is entirely too many groups and the names are far too similar. South Park is right, war will be begun in A.D. 2101 because people can not agree on an atheist name for the leading group.
