And the votes “Against” the motion are currently down…
(Thanks to Richard for the link!)
You should bring this to the attention of P. Z. Myers
A link was posted in a comment in the “Father Horndog” item on Pharyngula.
Perhaps the attention has had an effect; “against” is tied with “for” now, at 49.8% of the vote each.

What I want to know is where people get those bizarre ideas.
How can the Catholic church be a force for good in the world with a leader who was a Nazi collaborator and is the former head of the Inquisition?
The fish rots from the head down.
Looks like it’s getting hit hard at the last minute by Catholics, as my auto-vote bot can’t keep up with it. I’m voting “against” once a second but it’s still going down.
That was easy. To bad “against” is still losing.
How is there even a question that they are a force for good? They clearly are not!
Child abuse, contaception denial, a strong desire to return to the dark ages… and that’s just today, they were worse when they had real power!
Yes Gordon, from the outside of it the Catholic Church does appear as something other then good but those voting saying it is good have probably never looked from the outside of it. They only see what they want from the inside and brush the bad off as those aren’t true Catholics.
When the pope says condoms are bad including to the folks in Africa who have a very serious AIDS problem I have to say…shut down the catholic church. (bankruptcy with those pedophile lawsuits is how)
”shut down the catholic church.”
Good luck with that.
