of course Jen is going to win… the whole Atheist movement is having gender guilt for not supporting women for being better than men.

They hate the fact that men are beating them, so they cry out inequality so that people will unfairly favor them.

I guarentee you none of these feminazis will be screaming inequality at the fact that the nominees for Best Canadian Blog are ALL women.

I’m not about to go through all the nominees for every category, but I’m betting there’s many categories that are entirely filled with women, but nobody says anything about inequality. Of course not… it’s only inequality if it favors men.

Whenever I hear of an award for atheism going to a man I see a shitstorm of complaints that a woman didn’t get it. Equality doesn’t mean the women and the men are equally as good at everything. Equality means that neither man or woman should get favored because of their gender. Yet many feminists do clearly favor women over men.

Btw, I didn’t vote for either one of you.

Also, I can’t decide. I’m leaning towards Hemant because this blog is solely religious in nature, whereas Jen seems to have a broader scope.

Tough choice! Hemant has more atheist news and links and such, but Jen has a more personal voice in her posts.

I’m all for equality. Favoring a woman over a man in a situation that involves nothing about sexuality is not equality.

Furthermore, women are more dominant in some things and vice versa. Most outspoken atheists are men, so it’s not surprising that not many women are getting recognized for it. That doesn’t mean women are being suppressed in the atheist community and it’s not sexism.

I see so many atheists who want the list of recognized atheists to be more diverse, which means some women are to be favored. Not because they are better than the men, but because they have a vagina. That is just patronizing and offensive to women. I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated, and I wouldn’t want to be condescendingly pandered to for being a man.

i adore Jen’s blog, but i think of it more as a science blog than a religion blog. it’s an odd choice for a competition like this one, even given how often she writes about atheism.
