Rock Beyond Belief is On… Again!

This is a guest post by Kelley Freeman. She is a junior at the University of South Carolina and member of the Pastafarians at the University of South Carolina.

Maybe you’ve been following the crazy things that Hemant has been documenting about Rock Beyond Belief. It’s a free festival focusing on the other part of the military, the part that many Americans seem to forget. Yes, that’s right! It’s going to be a huge event focusing on the non-religious military members! It’s going to be held in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in March of 2012!

So far there’s a fantastic list of speakers for Rock Beyond Belief, including Richard Dawkins, Jen McCreight of Blag Hag, Dan Barker, and Dale McGowan of Foundation Beyond Belief. There will be musical guests such as Roy Zimmerman, Baba Brinkman, and Words Such as Burn (which will have Todd Stiefel on the guitar!)

Oh, I think there’s some Hermant Mehita guy speaking, too.

According to the Rock Beyond Belief website, there will also be atheists falling out of the freaking sky! (With parachutes though, it’s okay!)

For those of you keeping track, it’ll be a exactly a week after the Reason Rally in Washington, D.C. I guess that just means that y’all will have to take off a week to spend down south celebrating secularism and having an a fantastic time. How tragic!

The Pastafarians at USC are planning on being there, so if you see one of us (probably in matching shirts) make sure you say hi! See y’all there!
