I sorta liked Cyanide and Happiness’ cartoon
The Cyanide and Happiness one was very subtle and well written. I also like the Shortpacked one: http://www.shortpacked.com/2011/comic/book-13/05-the-death-of-snkrs/pearlygates/
Shortpacked was the best, getting out ahead of the issue.
…and so far, the only one NOT portraying him with a drink and cigarette in hand.
Even though it continues with the heaven-hell stuff, this one is pretty good:
Blasphemy!! They’ve depicted our prophet in heaven! Lets burn an embassy! Let’s put the cartoonist to death!!
Oh wait, we don’t do that. Those things only come from the ‘religion of peace’.
Times like these I wish I had some small amount of artistic talent. I’d like to see a strip or video that shows Hitch being laid to rest, plant growing from there (nothing graphic, but suggestive), various animals that feed on the plants, then maybe a bird eats one of the bugs eating the plants. Follow the bird into the air and start panning out to a larger view of the solar system/galaxy/universe. Tag line ‘Hitch is back to being a part of all there is.’
